(LEO POV)
Following the shock of the last few moments Leo was more than happy to take a second while he was examining his new pokemon to organize his thoughts.
For one thing Leo knew that training was going to be a learning experience for them. She was the first pokemon he'd ever seen that naturally had 3 typings even if they were unstable.
Running his hand along her side as she sat in his lap, he marveled at the chaos that inhabited her energy core. For a 2-foot tall (0.6m) 4-foot long (1.2m) fox spirit she had a presence that felt much larger.
He could tell that her mother had spent considerable effort helping her to increase her energies in a balanced way. While it had certainly helped her get stronger it was barely a band aid for the problem.
She needed to compress and refine the conflicting energies to stabilize herself. It would also increase the quality and control she had over her own energy and others like it.
Summoning a single chain to his free hand he brought the energy construct down to be level with the fox's face. She cracked open a single eye, gazing curiously at his hand.
"My bloodline is special, and I think it can help you. Before that though I need to send a part of my bloodline into you to find out how I can help."
Leo could see a flash of curiosity in the placid platinum pupil before she just snorted in agreement. Her eyes closed again as she snuggled closer to his stomach.
Smiling slightly at the princess attitude, Leo carefully brought the circling chain closer to her. His own eyes began to glow with platinum flames.
The flame was a peaceful monster now, the crown making up his pupils becoming more distinct in the glow of the flame.
The chain in his hand began to glow with the same platinum flames, slowly rotating and shrinking as he breathed.
The speed of the rotating began to increase as the chain continued to shrink. Eventually a heart sized halo of platinum was all that remained hovering in his palm.
Leo pressed the halo directly onto vulpix's heart. As the source for her energy and bloodline it was the best place to start his examination.
Vulpix tensed slightly when his energy entered her body, but she relaxed soon after realizing there was no pain or discomfort. As Leo activated a small portion of his bloodline he was flooded with info.
He took a few moments to organize all the chaotic information he'd received. When he finally gathered his thoughts, he began to move.
The problem was complex certainly, having the lineage of an Ascended pokemon at such high concentration had caused the most issue. His vulpix was for lack of better term, too talented for her own good.
While her body was at the peak of what a vulpix could hope to achieve her talent in Fire, Fairy and Ice type energy was simply too high.
When combined with the extra sensitivity she got from her lineage it made it impossible for her body to keep up with the amount of energy she naturally generated and gathered.
Using a technique his dad had helped create Leo began to suppress the core talents of vulpix into the center of her bloodline.
Once he had gathered all that he could and suppressed the talents deep into her Source he took a second to assess.
Vulpix seemed to be aware that something was going on, but she thankfully didn't look like she was in pain. Taking a deep breath, Leo began the next step.
While repeating the process his mom had told him in his mind Leo began to activate the other half of his bloodline. The patterns along his arms began to light up.
The platinum glow spread from his shoulders down to his hands and gathered at his fingertips. With a deep breath Leo brought the energy into the halo that hovered above her heart.
As the energy filled the halo it continued to shrink. Eventually it was only the size of a quarter, at which point it stopped shrinking and started to lower into vulpix's heart.
With barely any resistance the solidified energy sank into the heart and settled right at the center. With one mental command the halo shattered.
Instantly vulpix was engulfed in a platinum fire that shone so brightly Leo had to wonder if he had triggered a different evolution than what he intended.
Momma Ninetales suddenly appeared in front of them, watching her daughter with excited eyes. "How did you get her to evolve? I have tried everything over the last couple years!"
The Alpha's voice was shaky from emotion. Leo could imagine that none of the usual methods would work. A pokemon like vulpix was a first.
Honestly, she could start her own species with how different she was.
"This isn't an evolution in the way you might be thinking. All I really did was complete the process that was started when she was an egg."
Leo explained in a calm voice, keeping most of his attention on the shifting form of the vulpix. As he watched 3 more tails grew out and she seemed to shrink until she was barely a foot tall.
Leo could feel the energy she emitted growing in intensity. More importantly he could tell that the quality was improving by leaps and bounds.
Given what he's seen so far, most pokemon only started to refine their own energies to be more potent after reaching the limit of their potential.
What Leo had done was fuse vulpix's bloodline with the overflowing TE that had been flooding its body. He hadn't expected for vulpix to trigger a racial evolution.
"Vulpix is going through an evolution beyond the limits of your lineage. She will be the first of a brand-new species." Leo spoke with a calm tone while internally marveling at his luck.
"You should know when she's finished, she will be a mythical in her own right." Leo turned a casual gaze to the giant fox beside him.
"It shouldn't be possible for any pokemon to undergo changes like this!! Unless one of those supreme beings personally intervened..."
Here the Alpha trailed off in thought, looking pensively at the shifting form of vulpix bathed in platinum flames.
Watching the Alpha's shifting expression, Leo decided to put her concerns to rest in a way only he could.
Partially activating his bloodline, Leo used his power to extract a trace of his ow lineage factor. A glistening silver-red thread of blood seeped out of his palm.
Feeling a shift, the Alpha snapped back to its senses. Looking at the kit beside her, Alpha's eyes widened in shock when she sensed the aura radiating from his blood.
"Thi...this aura!! Why would someone of your level descend here? Are you planning to take over this reality?
Why would the major legends let someone like you into this reality in the first place? None of this is making any sense..."
Alpha was shocked, then terrified, until eventually she just stared at Leo with complex eyes. She knew that the only way for Leo to have gotten in was if the Legends allowed it.
As she contemplated the repercussions of Leo's presence Leo himself had already moved closer to the shining vulpix.
Looking at the patterns that seemed to fade in and out of existence Leo knew that he was about to create a bit of commotion.
It was a good thing that they were in the Alpha's personal subspace at the moment. Leo could only imagine the craziness that would have occurred otherwise.
Pushing that thought from his mind, Leo flicked his hand, the blood transforming into a silver-red flash that shot straight into the still evolving vulpix's heart.
For a second nothing happened. Leo was just about to investigate when a sudden 'THUMP' sounded out like a boom of thunder.
Instantly the figure of vulpix was engulfed in an orb of light. Pink, Platinum, White and Red lights flashed as the orb seemed to pulse to an unheard beat.
The orb only existed for a few seconds, before a sound like shattering chains rang out. A blinding white light filled the vast space, blinding even Leo for a moment.
When the light died down a transformed pokemon stood proudly in front of them. Alpha barely held back a gasp as the unmistakable aura of a legend spread out from her daughter.
While the basic outline resembled a ninetales, that's where the similarities ended. The evolved vulpix stood at 6 feet tall, with pure silver fur.
She had ruby red eyes with platinum snowflakes for pupils. A Full moon symbol made of strange runes that only Leo could recognize sat upon her forehead.
Instead of tails, 9 illusory looking chains seemed to grow from her tailbone. They shimmered with shifting shapes and colors.
With some unseen signal, the chains glowed for a second before they appeared to morph into 9 fluffy tails of the same silver shade as the rest of her body.
Crimson chains seemed to be engraved into the fur of her tails giving her an aura of malevolence that mixed with her natural majesty.
As he watched his transformed partner Leo was highly pleased with himself. Before he could say anything a sound that he hadn't heard in years rang out in his mind,
