The enraged sea king cursed Minos's wife, Pasiphael, with 'Beastophilia'.
To cover up the shame, Minos asked Daedalus to create a wooden cow for Pasiphael, hiding her inside it.
However, the model was made too realistically, and the symbolic white bull took a liking to this cow and mated with it.
As a result, Pasiphael became pregnant and gave birth to a creature with the body of a man and the head of a bull, the Minotaur, known as 'Minos's Bull'.
