"Apparently, we do." Ryan said as he looked down at himself, dirt up to his knees, and training gear on.
"To be fair, I'm not helping my case."
Eleanor looked at the keep steps, then back at the carriage. "Are you going to tell someone he's here?"
"I'll go find Adrian," he said.
Adrian was in the entrance hall. He was lecturing two servants that were held piles of laundry in their hands.
He looked up when Ryan came in.
"Hello Adrian, there's a carriage that just came in the inner ward," Ryan said. "Lord Harwen's son, apparently."
Adrian's face showed surprise.'"Ah. Young Lord Harwick of House Gelt."
"Thank you, I'll receive him." He paused, already turning, but then he looked back. "If you wouldn't mind—Lord Cedric should be on the second floor, the corridor that branches right at the base of the stairs, furthest door on your left. Would you knock and alert him of the young Gelt's arrival? I would go myself but our guest will need receiving immediately."
"Sure," Ryan said.
