Ryan watched Cedric and Harwick Gelt wander into the lounge, casually chatting as they did so.
Adrian was heading to the kitchen off doing another chore.
The entrance hall had emptied.
Ryan stood there watching Cedric ushering in Harwick and closing the door behind them.
He'll be in that lounge for a while. He thought. Time to find out what's happening with you.
He reached the fourth step.
I'm certain his door didn't have a lock. So I'll only need to worry about a servant or Adrian finding me—
"YOU DARE!"
A booming voice came from the lounge like the sound of a cannon-fire.
Ryan stopped, his eyes perking up like a cat.
There was a beat of silence.
Then the lounge door burst open and a very angry Harwick Gelt came rushing through it.
Ryan turned on the stairs watching him stamp down the entrance hall to the exit.
Cedric unhurriedly appeared in the lounge doorway behind him, hands clasped loosely in front of him.
