Finding his target so easily while also getting to witness a battle between giant beasts, William crossed his arms and hovered in midair, watching the impending fight below with great interest.
As for Laura's safety—if he wanted to, he could instantly appear beside her or lift her into the air with his psychic power, keeping her far away from the T-Rexes.
"ROAAARRR!"
The encroaching T-Rexes grew closer. Having lived and fought in this region for over twenty years, King Kong knew from experience that if he didn't act soon, he would be completely surrounded.
He turned his head slightly, eyeing the scar-faced T-Rex on his left and the 20-meter-high rock wall behind it.
Without hesitation, he grabbed a boulder the size of a millstone and hurled it with all his strength at the scar-faced T-Rex.
At the same time, he let out a thunderous roar and charged forward on all fours, completely ignoring the T-Rexes behind and to his right.
BANG!
A deep impact echoed as the boulder struck the scar-faced T-Rex, causing it to stumble.
Seeing his throw land successfully, King Kong changed his plan. Instead of using the rock wall behind the scar-faced T-Rex to escape, he sped up his charge.
At a distance of over ten meters, he leaped into the air, raised his massive tree-trunk-like arms, and hammered them down hard onto the already off-balance T-Rex's neck.
CRACK!
King Kong didn't stop to confirm whether the strike was fatal. Using the T-Rex's body as a stepping stone, he leaped onto the rock wall and quickly scaled it, escaping the two pursuing T-Rexes.
Hanging onto the rock face with one hand, he grabbed more stones with the other and began hurling them downward.
But instead of aiming at the two uninjured T-Rexes, he targeted the already wounded scar-faced T-Rex.
After four or five consecutive hits, the scarred T-Rex was not only dead but reduced to a bloody mess.
The strong scent of blood made the remaining two T-Rexes hesitant. Though they kept their eyes on King Kong, they couldn't help but glance at their fallen companion.
"Uuuuuhhh…"
Seeing that the T-Rexes were no longer focused on him, King Kong turned to Laura and, with an almost smug expression, let out a series of triumphant grunts.
For several minutes, the two remaining T-Rexes stood at an impasse. Finally, the one with a slightly shortened tail—presumably from an old injury—gave in to the temptation of blood and roared at the fallen T-Rex.
Just as William thought they might resort to cannibalism, the short-tailed T-Rex suddenly turned and left.
The remaining T-Rex roared at its departing companion, trying to call it back.
When it got no response, it glared at King Kong, hesitated for a moment, then turned and followed after the short-tailed one.
But the moment it turned its back, King Kong's smug grin vanished.
Gripping a rock tightly, he leaped down from a height of over ten meters and brought the boulder crashing down on the unsuspecting T-Rex's skull.
BOOM!
The rock shattered into pieces, and the ambushed T-Rex's spine snapped instantly. It collapsed to the ground, letting out one final, pitiful wail before going completely still.
The short-tailed T-Rex, having already walked 20 or 30 meters away, heard the commotion and turned back—just in time to see King Kong standing upright, pounding his fists against his chest.
At the same time, he bared his four fangs and let out a thunderous roar.
Even without understanding its meaning, it was clear that this was a provocation—a taunt.
But instead of rising to the challenge, the short-tailed T-Rex froze in fear, then instinctively turned and ran.
With the show over, William deployed a delta-wing drone to follow the fleeing T-Rex and instructed Sunday,
"Create some tracking devices for these dinosaurs and start building a database. When my Jurassic Park is complete, we'll know exactly which ones to capture."
After Sunday acknowledged the command, William followed King Kong, curious to see how he and Laura interacted.
Seeing that King Kong didn't finish off the immobilized T-Rex but instead lifted both of them—one in each hand—and carried them away, William realized that this creature was far more intelligent than a simple-minded brute.
Or perhaps King Kong's behavior was influenced by Laura, who was constantly talking to him and making hand gestures.
After half an hour of travel, dragging the two ten-ton T-Rexes, King Kong reached a waterfall cascading down a rocky cliff.
He dropped the dead dinosaurs onto the ground and sat down, while Laura—who had been perched on his shoulder—casually jumped down and landed smoothly.
"Huh?" William frowned. "Was Laura always this agile when she was with Kingsman?"
"SIR, if my analysis is correct, Miss Laura's enhanced physical abilities are likely due to the oxygen concentration of this planet, which is about 20% higher than Earth's."
"Wouldn't that put her in an oxygen intoxication state?"
"SIR, given Miss Laura's training in London and her overall fitness, she should be able to adapt relatively quickly."
"Hmm." William thought about it for a moment before setting the matter aside.
Watching as Laura skillfully butchered one of the T-Rexes, he noticed her gathering firewood and retrieving a burning stick from a small cave near the waterfall.
It didn't take much guessing—this was clearly how she and King Kong had bonded.
At some point, the giant ape must have tasted meat cooked by a forest fire. Then, upon meeting Laura and smelling her roasted meat, he had either captured her or been tamed by her.
Having figured that out, William was just about to fly down to meet her when his psychic senses detected something rapidly approaching from a kilometer away.
Turning around, he spotted an enormous bird speeding toward him.
Its body and head resembled that of an eagle, but its wings were longer, and it had an extended tail with large, fan-like feathers.
It looked strikingly similar to the legendary Thunderbird.
Noticing that William had spotted it, the Thunderbird let out a piercing cry and flapped its wings vigorously, diving straight at him.
The screech startled King Kong, who instantly stood up and rushed to Laura's side, shielding her beneath his massive body.
He let out a deep, menacing roar—both to intimidate the approaching Thunderbird and to warn William.
William, unfazed, simply raised his hand.
As soon as the Thunderbird was within a hundred meters, a bright arc of lightning crackled in his palm—then, in an instant, it struck the bird mid-flight.
Zzzzzt!
Sparks erupted as the Thunderbird convulsed, its body crackling with electricity.
Within moments, smoke began rising from its feathers, and it let out a final, agonized screech before plummeting from the sky.
What shocked William even more was King Kong's reaction.
The mighty ape, seeing what had happened, immediately grabbed Laura and bolted into the forest.
