"Miss Cheng, we looked at the scans and it seems like the cancer is really bad this time." The doctor said to Cheng Xiao.
"No!" Cheng Xiao said her legs going weak.
"Cheng Xiao!" Xu Kai said as he held her before her knees could hit the floor.
"The cost of the treatment will be more as she will need more care than before." The doctor explained.
"But how come it is only showing now?" Cheng Xiao asked.
"My mother was fine a few days ago and now you are telling me that she is this sick." Cheng Xiao added.
"Miss Cheng I know that it is difficult to come to terms with this, but you have to be strogn for your mother." The doctor said.
"My mother..." Cheng Xiao said as she squarted on the floor with her her head in her hand.
"Doctor, you don't have to worry about the payment. Please proceed and move her to a VIP ward." Xu Kai said.
"Cheng Xiao, you know that your mother would not want to see you being this way." Cheng Xiao's father said as he came and knelt in front of her.
"But father, mother..." Cheng Xiao couldn't come to terms with what was happening.

"Mom!" Cheng Xiao said and stood up, she rushed to the bed and sat down.
Cheng Xiao laid her on her mother's shoulder as tears started falling. Her mother rubbed her back as she tried to sooth her to calm down, she lifted Cheng Xiao's body up and took her hand in hers.
"Why are you crying?" Her mother asked.
"The doctor said..." Cheng Xiao was cut off by her mother.
"I know what the doctor said and I don't want to cry because of it. If you cry, how will I get the strength to fight again." Her mother said as she wiped the tears from her eyes.
"But it is not fair." Cheng Xiao said.
"Then hurry and give me a grandchild. At least let me die after seeing your baby." Her mother said and Cheng Xiao placed a hand on her mother's lips.
"Don't say such words, you beat the cancer before, you can beat it the second time." Cheng Xiao said.
"Where is your husband?" Her mother asked.
"He is talking with the doctor." Cheng Xiao said.
"How are you mother?" Xu Kai's voice came as he walked back into the room.
"I am fine dear and yourself." She asked.
"I am fine." He replied and came to stand next to Xu Kai.
A nurse came in and told them that the VIP ward was ready, and they would be moving her. Cheng Xiao's father looked at Xu Kai.
"There was no need for that." He said.
"She is my mother as well and it my duty to make sure she receives the best treatment." Xu Kai said.
"Thank you!" Cheng Xiao said.
"It is a son's duty." Xu Kai said.
