The curtains in his room are really high they go all the way up to the ceiling.
They are made of linen and have soft navy stripes on them.
When the daylight comes in it gets filtered through these curtains. It makes everything feel cozy.
The whole room gets this amber glow. The white linen curtains, with navy stripes are what make the room feel so cozy.
Her eyes went to the bed, where Sebastian was lying not moving all. The sound of his breathing was really calm and steady it was the thing moving in the quiet room.
Her eyes stayed on his face as she took a step closer to him.
She saw the sweat in his hair. She felt like she had to touch him so her hand went out. Her fingers barely touched his forehead. It was really hot, from the fever. Her eyes kept looking at his face.
She saw the bowl of water on the table. This was a sign of his mother's care.
She dampened a clean cloth in the fresh water, then laid it across his forehead, her fingers gently sweeping his hair back.
As she kept wiping his face with the cloth she noticed he moved a little. His eyelids twitched slightly.
She saw this movement and it caught her attention. She was watching his face closely. She was using the cloth to wipe his face and this is when she saw the twitch of his eyelids.
Sebastian's eyes started to open. She stopped breathing for a moment. She was looking at his face. The way he slowly blinked made her keep staring at him.
She was really looking at his face she could not look away, from this face. It was like she was stuck on his slow sleepy blinks.
Her heart started racing really fast as she looked into them. She was amazing to see his face when he woke up.
His eyes were a cloudy because he had a fever but his lips were curving up into a small smile as he looked at her. His eyes were still really beautiful. She loved the way his lips smiled when he saw her his eyes sparkling with happiness as he looked into her face seeing her standing there with his eyes.
Her breath caught in her throat as she took in the sight of him, her heart pounding in her chest.
She could not take her eyes off his face. His face was very familiar, to her. She had really missed his face. She had missed the way he looked. She liked looking at his face.
"Sebastian?" she said quietly.
He looked straight at Minnie, his eyes getting a little smaller as he tried to see. "Minnie?" he said quietly his voice sounding rough, from being sick and sleepy.
Her heart soared at the sound of his voice, "Hmm.."
Elizabeth walked into the room. She saw what was in front of her.
Elizabeth was looking at the room and the things that were, inside the room.
She smiled to herself as she looked around the scene. The woman stepped inside. Then she stopped for a moment because a quiet cough came out of the woman's mouth.
Sebastian face lit up with a smile. His eyes were still cloudy, from the from the fever. "Mother.. " he whispered.
She approached his bedside, her fingers softly tracing the lines of his face, love and concern mingling in her touch. "How do you feel, my son?"
"I am feeling a lot better Mother " Sebastian said. His voice was stronger now.
She turned her face to Minnie. "You will be having lunch with us today, Minnie okay?"
Minnie opened her mouth to speak. "Auntie, today. "
Elizabeth raised her hand gently. You could tell she was, in charge. "Not this time Minnie.." Elizabeth said. "You are going to listen to me today."
A sharp knock broke the silence, and in walked a figure bearing a bowl of fragrant soup. "Madam, the Young Master's meal."
Head Servant Jane had been taking care of the Thompson family for a long time decades actually. She was looking after the household even before Sebastian born.
Elizabeth put the bowl on the bedside table. "Thea can you help with feeding him? I have some things to do now."
"Okay.. Auntie.."
"Minnie... I will be able to eat..." He murmured, her voice weak but determined, lifting the spoon with trembling fingers. His pale face, framed by loose strands of dark hair, held a flicker of resolve amid the exhaustion.
"No, today I will feed you. Didn't you hear Auntie ask me to feed you? Although I am young, I know how to feed others."
He managed a faint smile, leaning into her support as she guided the spoon to his lips. The first taste brought color to his cheeks
Sebastian's eyes softened, his gaze filling with a deep affection as he looked at her. He knew she was right, and he was too weak to argue.
