Misty realized they were still performing. Once it dawned on Misty, she thought the whole situation was chaotic.
However, when Misty saw how excited the audience was, she breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed like a blessing in disguise after all.
This was indeed the case, because up until now, the audience still believed that everything was just part of the performance.
Moreover, this performance included an aquatic ballet show, Pokémon battles, and even witnessing a Pokémon's evolution firsthand. It could truly be said that the audience got their money's worth.
"It's wonderful that they're okay!" At that moment, Sakura and the others arrived at the platform. They looked down and breathed a sigh of relief when they saw that Misty and Ash were unharmed.
Only the glass walls and ceiling had been damaged. Since this successful performance would bring in plenty of money, it wasn't really a significant loss at all.
"Although the process turned out differently than we planned, it seems everyone is very satisfied," Violet and Lily said with relief. At least the performance hadn't been ruined.
"It looks like we should try changing our style," Lily responded thoughtfully. Their previous performances had indeed become somewhat boring after being performed for such a long time.
"Thank you all for coming, and please continue to support Cerulean Gym in the future!" As the audience gradually left the venue, the three sisters came to the hall to bid farewell to everyone.
Meanwhile, Ash and Misty returned to their rooms, changed into dry clothes, and then came to the lobby. Since it was still early in the day, the group was ready to continue their journey.
After having lunch at the Cerulean Gym, the three of them packed up their belongings and said goodbye to the three sisters. Misty had decided to continue traveling with Ash.
"We'll be going now, Sister Daisy!" Even though she hadn't been home for a long time, Misty didn't seem to feel reluctant at all.
"Don't worry! We'll continue performing in the future. Lily and I will take turns playing the mermaid princess!" Before Daisy could speak, Violet jumped in first.
This time, forget about the mermaid princess—even the villain roles weren't part of the performance. It just so happened that they would need to put on shows like this in the future.
"But... if Misty leaves, we won't have enough Pokémon!" Daisy said with some concern. Although they also had plenty of Pokémon, she was still worried there wouldn't be enough for future performances.
"That's not difficult to solve. Misty, why don't you leave some Pokémon here?" After hearing this, Lily looked at Misty with gleaming eyes.
"What? Why should I leave my Pokémon here?" Misty said with dissatisfaction. She didn't want to be separated from her Pokémon.
"What's the big deal? You don't challenge Gyms anyway!"
"Well... Misty, why not let Horsea stay? After all, we're on the road and we may not be able to find such a suitable environment!" Brock also spoke up. It was difficult to find an environment that Horsea could adapt to while traveling.
"Ah... Alright!" Misty listened and thought about how Horsea often needed such an environment to play in, but she couldn't bear to take it with her on their journey.
"By the way, how about Starmie as well? Its beautiful shape is very suitable for underwater performances!"
"What? Starmie too? Fine! But you have to take good care of them!" Misty reluctantly took out the Poké Balls, mainly because she was worried that these three narcissistic sisters were too busy admiring themselves to properly take care of her Pokémon.
"We will!" Violet and Lily smiled as they accepted the two Poké Balls. At that moment, Daisy carefully picked up Togepi from the ground.
"By the way, let's keep this Togepi here too, right?"
"No! Togepi can't be given to you!" After hearing this, Misty snatched Togepi back like a startled cat with its fur standing on end.
Seeing how protective Misty was, Daisy realized it was impossible to keep Togepi. She then looked over at Ash.
"What about Pikachu?" Daisy raised her hands as if ready to pounce.
"Pikapi??"
Pikachu quickly shook his head, stood on Ash's shoulders, and hid behind his trainer's head.
"I'm sorry, Miss Daisy, but my Pokémon still have to battle in Gyms!" There was no way Ash would leave his Pokémon here, and he was absolutely certain that they wouldn't be able to take proper care of them.
Water-type Pokémon could at least entertain themselves in the pool here, but if his Pokémon weren't taken care of by someone like Professor Oak, he wouldn't feel at ease.
"Then..." Daisy raised her head slightly and looked at the Jigglypuff resting on Ash's hat. Unlike Togepi and Pikachu, this Jigglypuff was quite adorable.
"Hmm? This one? Well, I suppose this is okay..." Ash tilted his head slightly and then said half-jokingly.
"Puff?! Puff! Puff Puff!!"
Hearing Ash's words, Jigglypuff immediately puffed up its cheeks. Its whole body expanded like a balloon as it shouted at Ash in protest.
"Hahaha! Just kidding, don't be angry!" Ash had only teased it on purpose. Although he hadn't officially caught it, Jigglypuff was really traveling with them now.
While trying to comfort it, he reached out his hand to gently rub its puffed-up cheeks.
"Alright! We should get going!" Misty pushed Ash forward, afraid that her three sisters would try to claim more of her Pokémon.
The three sisters didn't say anything more. They walked Ash and the others to the door to say goodbye once again, and then the three travelers continued on their way.
"Ash, where are we going next?" Misty asked curiously as they walked down the road.
She had decided to come back because of Horsea before. Now that Horsea's situation had been resolved, Ash's Badges still hadn't been completely collected yet. She didn't know what Ash's next goal was.
"I heard that a new Gym has opened in Viridian City. It happens to be very close to here, so let's go there!" Ash wasn't joking. He had indeed seen news about Viridian Gym posted in various places along the road. He had originally planned to visit Viridian Gym anyway.
Of course, Ash knew that Viridian Gym was Team Rocket's stronghold. Misty and Brock didn't know this, and Ash didn't tell them either.
"Viridian City? I really miss it!" Misty couldn't help but speak after hearing Ash's words.
She and Ash had met in Viridian Forest, and many things had happened in Viridian City. Now that they were going back, she really felt nostalgic.
"Then let's go! Time to get the last Badge!"
