I had barely stepped into the main hall when Clara caught my sleeve and pulled me toward the side corridor with that serious face she got when the future had decided to be a menace.
She did not waste time.
She gave me a once over view, then said, “I checked the border again.”
I stopped walking. “And?”
“And Leo is not just planning to hit us from the front,” she revealed. “He already has people inside.”
My spine went stiff. “Inside where?”
Clara’s eyes flicked toward the windows, then back to me. “Inside the territory,” she clarified. “Mixed in with ordinary pack members, moving around like they belong there, and acting normal enough that most people won’t clock them unless they’re already looking.”
I could handle a fight at the gate, and a raid on the fence, but the idea that Leo had already planted people in our own space made my skin feel too tight.
I lowered my voice. “How many?”
