The massive two-story building was almost always packed, its doors staying open long into the night as music, laughter, and drunken shouting spilled into the streets.
Inside, the air was thick with the smell of alcohol, grilled meat, smoke, and too many people crammed into one place. Warm yellow lights washed over crowded tables and the packed balconies above, while behind the long counter, shelves overflowed with bottles and bartenders moved nonstop from one customer to the next.
The drinks were good, the food was better, and the women were unlike anywhere else in the city.
Many wore next to nothing, little more than thin scraps of fabric that barely covered their breasts and between their legs. Others wore clothes deliberately cut open to leave their breasts or groin exposed, while a few simply went around completely naked. No one seemed to care.
