Brooke followed Damien to a room in his house filled with records hanging on the wall. She watched him recline against the record player, and search for a track to play, his eyes shifting her way in a not-so-discreet manner.
He picked something that sounded like smooth jazz, Brooke wasn't a huge fan of music, so she wouldn't know. Once the music filled the room, his voice floated over the melody, "You really are a fearsome woman. Having such a strong family backing you up and acting so…" he didn't know the right word to use.
He noticed how scary her husband looked as he took her away with him, he didn't want to rub anyone the wrong way.
Though, it wouldn't be the first time.
Brooke ignored his statement and asked instead, "So you were working for his parents?" She guessed so, but seeing them together just proved her speculation was right.
"I was forced into it. You know how frightening these wealthy people can be." He said.
