Chapter 409: Legendary Spell—Earthquake!

Whoosh!

Flames ignited the alchemical fire oil, instantly creating towering blazes.

The roaring flames engulfed the wooden ladders leaning against the fortress walls.

"Ah…!"

The orcs, whose fur served as excellent kindling, were also set ablaze.

Over ten orcs fell simultaneously, their fates utterly tragic.

The enraged Ironhide Grigg stormed up a ladder.

The nimble Elio kept a keen eye on him, prepared to douse the ladder in alchemical fire oil as soon as he climbed halfway up, severing it completely.

The broken ladder naturally failed to support Grigg's ascent. Glaring hatefully at Elio, she leapt back down.

Feeling the immense pressure, Elio sensed Grigg's palpable killing intent but instead revealed a delighted smile:

"The lord once said, 'If the enemy doesn't target you, you're not a significant threat.'"

The more Grigg wanted to kill her, the more it proved her value.

After nearly half an hour of relentless assault…

the fearless orc army still struggled to breach the fortress walls.

Their siege weapons were too crude, incapable of shaking the well-prepared Bull Fortress.

Bull Fortress, seemingly unassuming and smaller than a city,

was in fact a culmination of Matthew's defensive wisdom from two worlds.

The Black Spine Orc army's average challenge level was 8, stronger than the 7 of the self-healing Gurubashi Trolls.

But strength alone couldn't overcome the tall, fortified walls equipped with ballistae, treant catapults, and elite guards.

War isn't a mere contest of strength!

It's a blend of offense, defense, technology, strategy, and intelligence!

This was why Matthew chose to expose his power to destroy most of their siege equipment.

By destroying these tools, the Black Spine Orcs, unlike the Gurubashi Trolls who had received mercy, had no chance of scaling the walls.

Fighting the former was for honing soldiers.

Fighting the orcs was to secure victory!

Seeing their rudimentary ladders fail miserably,

the fuming Grigg finally lost patience.

Unwilling to wait, he tore open a cherished scroll!

The moment he retrieved the scroll, Matthew, watching from above, felt a deep unease.

"Not good!"

Yaya cried out, diving swiftly.

Her massive body streaked down like a comet. Within seconds, she was above Grigg, her dragon breath ready to unleash.

Matthew also raised his staff, focusing all his efforts to "lock on" to Grigg. A shadowy aura of "Fear" enveloped him.

Unfortunately, both Yaya and Matthew were a step too late.

Grigg had already torn the scroll. Layers of complex magical radiance unfurled from the dragonhide parchment, channeling into the ground as a surge of heavy, yellow energy.

The earth began to quake violently!

Crack! Crack! Crack!

The 9th-tier Legendary Spell—Earthquake!

The once solid ground split open with jagged fissures.

The fortress walls trembled and cracked apart.

Boom!

A massive section of the wall collapsed, burying hundreds of orcs beneath it.

The once formidable walls now seemed precariously unstable under the devastating spell.

Hundreds of Bay Territory soldiers, unprepared for the tremors, fell into the debris and were buried in the ensuing dust clouds.

The spell's destructive power spread for thousands of meters.

This near-apocalyptic force left all survivors dazed.

As the dust cleared, Bull Fortress—now with two or three massive breaches—came into view.

Though much of the wall remained standing, cracks riddled its surface.

Stunned soldiers peered down from the ramparts, watching the orcs regroup on the fractured earth below, howling as they charged toward the breaches.

The breaches, 7 to 8 meters wide, were lined with rubble from the fallen walls, forming sloped paths that the orcs could climb.

With reinforcements arriving too late,

should the orcs breach the fortress, their endless waves would eventually wear down Bay Territory's defenders.

The unyielding walls…

torn open by unexpected, terrifying power!

Ecstatic orcs screamed as they swarmed the breaches.

Whoosh!

A dark red glow streaked through the air.

A gleaming white sword tip emerged from the forehead of the leading orc soldier.

With a twist, the orc's head shattered into fragments.

Blood sprayed like mist, swirling into a crimson aura that gradually enveloped Elio's dust-covered body.

The death of their comrade didn't deter the charging orcs. Instead, it fueled their fury as they raised weapons against Elio.

A spark of heat flashed in her blood-red eyes. A surge of murderous desire erupted.

Whirling sword energy encased Elio. With two blades spinning like a cyclone, she carved through the advancing orcs.

Slash!

Whoosh!

Crack!

Powerful orc soldiers were dismembered by the ferocious sword energy, their bodies shattering like chopped wood, tumbling down.

High-tier orcs surged forward, their aura thick with fighting spirit, only to be pierced by Elio's blade storm. Even their dense battle energy couldn't withstand her razor-sharp strikes.

Driven by an insatiable thirst for battle and mastery of advanced combat techniques, Elio unleashed the swordsman's ultimate skill—Blade Storm!

One woman. Two swords.

She held the breach almost entirely on her own, slaying hundreds of elite orcs in mere moments.

Yet Elio could only defend one breach. From another, a towering Black Orc emerged!

Black Orcs are elite warriors with formidable physical prowess and combat skill.

Each Black Orc is a potential high-tier orc commander!

Suddenly, a burly figure descended from the sky.

Two blood-red axes cleaved toward the Black Orc.

The oppressive wind from the strike left the Black Orc gasping. He barely raised his own axe in defense but could only watch as its metal handle was shattered in two!

Crack!

The Black Orc's massive head flew off, still bearing an expression of confusion and disbelief.

In Endless Rage mode, Beelzebub glared at the advancing orcs and roared:

"Come and die!"

The howling orcs charged at him en masse.

Angela, regaining her composure, saw the peril below and shouted:

"Golem army, attack!"
