Chapter 545 - Chapter 545: Agreement Reached

Wade looked at Anthony in silence for a moment, and said, "Professor Moody is an excellent Auror. There are few who can match him in combat ability."

"I know. Not just Professor Moody—Professor Troka, Professor Abigail—every one of them is an outstanding wizard."

Anthony said sincerely, "But being a great wizard doesn't necessarily mean you can teach well. Kevin still isn't proficient with the Shield Charm. If it weren't for his good memory and ability to memorize textbooks, he might've failed last term's Defense Against the Dark Arts class."

"But you're different, Wade… We all know what Neville Longbottom was like in the beginning—aside from Herbology, there wasn't a single subject he was good at."

"Compared to Kevin, or even Hopkins from Hufflepuff, Neville was clumsier. Even now, his memory is still unbelievably bad!"

"But even with all that, ever since he joined your SSC club, his grades gradually improved to average, and sometimes he even performs quite impressively."

"Neville always says that what he's achieved isn't because he got smarter—but because you helped him."

"Wade, you're the best teacher I've ever seen. You know how to adjust your teaching methods based on each student's unique traits, helping them quickly grasp the spells."

After a brief pause, Anthony continued, "Of course, I know this request is a bit abrupt. But the tournament is dangerous. Anyone who wants to compete should at least have the ability to protect themselves…

Could you spare a bit of time to coach us? I swear it won't take up too much of your schedule!"

Wade looked into his sincere eyes and suddenly said, "Anthony, you're more suited to be Head Boy than Percy Weasley."

"Huh?" Anthony blinked.

"Tomorrow morning, once I get my timetable, I'll check when I have free periods. I can teach everyone some spellcasting techniques," Wade said. "Ask a professor if we can reserve an empty classroom."

"No problem!" Anthony's eyes lit up, and he agreed readily. "Once the place is set, leave all the prep work and follow-up to us! If there's anything else that needs doing, just let me know!"

"But I have conditions too," Wade said.

"I'll only teach those who genuinely want to learn. If anyone's just there to mess around, slack off, or stir up trouble, I'll throw them out on the spot. Make that clear ahead of time. If they can't accept it, then they shouldn't come."

Anthony grinned. "Deal! I'll make sure none of those troublemakers get involved!"

The two bumped fists, sealing the agreement.

"You actually agreed to it?"

At the breakfast table the next morning, after Wade told Michael and the others about the agreement with Anthony, Michael looked stunned.

"I thought Anthony was just daydreaming! Something this troublesome—you usually wouldn't take it on."

Wade shrugged. "Let's just say I'm doing it for the school's honor. Can't let the other schools think Hogwarts is all reputation and no substance."

He'd received more than enough care and protection from the school—defending its name was only right.

But Michael still looked like he couldn't believe it. He even tilted his head and examined Wade seriously. "You are the Wade I know, right? Not one of those 'Wade replicas' you created with a human-shaped magical doll?"

Theo, exasperated, shoved Michael's head aside and leaned in himself. "Wade, is this spell coaching just for Ravenclaws, or…?"

Wade looked at him and nodded. "If Hufflepuff students want to join, of course they can."

"Great, thank you." Theo said happily, both relieved and grateful. "Actually, people often ask me for guidance too, but I know how it really is… It just feels wrong to admit it out loud…"

Ryan chimed in from the side, "If Theo ever becomes a professor, he'll definitely be the next Professor Binns. You guys have no idea how boring he is when he talks about spells."

"That exaggerated?" Michael looked from Theo to Ryan and said, "He's totally normal when we're chatting—how bad can it be?"

Ryan thought for a moment and said, "Have you ever heard a monk chanting scriptures?"

Michael: "…"

Theo blushed and gave an awkward smile. "I just feel that all the important knowledge should be explained thoroughly. But somehow… they start dozing off halfway through."

After breakfast, Theo and Ryan returned to Hufflepuff. They had Herbology that morning, in a joint class with Gryffindor.

Michael narrowed his eyes slightly, and watched the students chatting and laughing as they headed toward the greenhouses.

"Let's go, Transfiguration is first period," Wade said, grabbing his schoolbag and standing up.

"Mmh…" Michael responded, then stood up and reached out. "Wade, let me see your class schedule."

Wade handed it over casually.

His timetable was covered in edits and changes. Since he didn't plan to attend all his classes with students of his year, several times and locations had been adjusted.

Michael skimmed through it quickly and understood: "So you're planning to hold the tutoring sessions on Tuesday afternoons and Friday nights?"

"That's right," Wade said. "The rest of my time is already scheduled."

Michael thought for a moment, then said, "Take my advice—change that plan. The exact day doesn't matter, but shift the time to 5 to 7 in the morning."

"Huh? That early?" Wade said in surprise.

Even though he was quite diligent, Wade had recently developed a habit of staying up late and usually didn't wake up until seven or eight in the morning—sometimes he even overslept.

He knew a lot of students were worse, often sleeping until noon during breaks—Michael being a prime example.

So hearing "five in the morning" come out of Michael's mouth was particularly shocking. It even made Wade suspect he'd simply misspoken—like accidentally saying "morning" instead of "evening."

Michael glanced around, saw no other students nearby, and lowered his voice: "You've got that thing. Worst case, just rewind time after waking up—you won't be late. The point is, getting up early is the perfect way to filter out the people who aren't serious."

As they entered the Transfiguration classroom, they saw a few Slytherins who had arrived early. Michael whispered:

"Wade, you didn't go into the maze much, so you probably don't know—some of the seventh-years are seriously terrible. A lot of them haven't even mastered the basic spells. Makes you want to send them all back to square one."

"So watch—word's going to spread fast. Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Slytherin… From first-years to seventh-years, there might be students from every year wanting to join."

He chuckled slyly and said, "Wake up at five in the morning? Some people will barely make it once or twice before they drop out on their own!"

Wade: "…"

This guy clearly had no intention of joining—so he's setting traps for others with zero hesitation.
