'_ Oh heavens, why do these people have to stare so much. I feel like I'm about to sacrificed.!!_' She lamented in her hearts.
"Who is she, do you know?". A voice whispered.
"No, She doesn't look like any of the nobles daughters."
"Could it be Lady Fira?." Another voice asked unsure.
" How could it be, I believe she came from upstairs meaning she lives with the royal family." A woman piped in, looking smug that she had figured it out.
"Jenna, I thought I said simple!!. Why did you have to dress me up so much?!. " She whispered as she glared at Jenna, who was now standing beside her.
"....". ' what wrong did i do again, hmph why can't this mistress of mine ever be grateful.' Jenna thought to herself.
Actually, Jenna had indeed chosen the simplest gown she could find she also didn't style her hair into something elaborate. Even she wasn't sure how her lady had become this beautiful. Maybe her lady's best style is just simple but beautiful.
Jenna finally led Arina to the quiet bar at the side where she sat.
"Milady, would you like a drink?." Jenna asked.
" Don't you dare leave me!!" Arina growled at her maid.
"Tsk, milady don't you think you should loosen up a bit. It's a party, come on get wasted, would ya?." Jenna replied as she rolled her eyes as she walked away.
Arina could only curse Jenna bitterly in her heart. She soon got bored out of her wits as she twirled the wine in her cup as she desperately sought a form of entertainment.
A voice rung out in the room
" Crown Prince Kaiden of Water".
" Cheif advisor Flynn of Air."
Suddenly, Arina's head whipped towards the sound but sadly she couldn't see and her heart skipped a beat as gaze locked with a man wearing a shiny black mask with his black attire, somhow she knew that no matter what mask he wore or where he was, she would be able to recognize him- Prince Sirius.
Black inner shirt, black coat complete with his raven black pants. His inky hair was properly combed to the side with a line parting it in the middle and some falling to the front slightly covering his eyebrows.
His black eyes stared intensly at her like he was looking into her soul... like those black holes were trying to suck her every being into him till she's falling into that desolate abyss.
They held each other's gaze till Sirius just looked away. Only then did Arina feel like whatever spell was placed on her had finally been lifted 'what was that?...'
King Damien finally stood up and the ball officially started much to the delight of Arina who was a hair breadth away from leaving the party.
The dance floor was soon packed with people. All types of dignitaries; nobles, generals and all that, filled the dance floor with their graceful steps. Arina sat quietly as usual, politely rejecting all the men who invited her to ask.
After a while, the music ended and everyone started mingling again when a sound was heard. King Damien stood up with a glass of wine in his hands and spoke.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you all for your presence, and special thanks to Crown prince Kaiden and Cheif Advisor Flynn for representing Water and Air in this occasion even at such short notice. It truly is saddening that Earth would be unable to make the ball due to some reasons. But nevertheless I would like to use this opportunity to announce the engagement of my son Prince Sirius and Lady Fira.!!"
