Chapter 104 - Deep Sea Monsters

"Ahhhhhh!!!" The Straw Hats screamed as the Sunny was hurled down the raging current, the deck tilting violently.

WHOOSH—CRASH! The Sunny got spat out of the current, and the crew landed with a loud thud hard against the deck.

Nami groaned, brushing her head. "Urghh… my head…"

Brook sat up, "Is everyone alright?"

Usopp scrambled to his feet, "Ow! It's too dark—I can't see a thing!"

Lucas steadied himself, eyes narrowing. "We must be far deeper in the ocean where light doesn't reach."

Usopp ranted, voice rising. "Then how will we find Fishman Island if we can't even see where to go?!"

Brook shivered, his tone eerie. "I don't like dark places… it feels like something unknown is watching me."

Robin turned to the others with concern. "I can't seem to find Luffy and Zoro. It looks like we lost them… I just hope they haven't been torn apart by sea monsters."

Usopp shrieked. "Don't imagine such scary things!!"

Franky stepped forward. "No point worrying now. We can use the Sunny's light function to search for them."

Chopper's voice cracked. "But what if we attract sea monsters with the light?!"

Lucas raised his hand, conjuring a glowing orb. "Then we'll be cautious. This should be enough."

The orb illuminated the abyss—revealing massive silhouettes lurking nearby.

"Gyaaaaa!!!" The crew cried as monstrous shapes loomed around them.

Chopper trembled. "M…maybe it's better if we stay in the dark…"

Lucas suddenly turned, eyes sharp. "Wait… Luffy and Zoro are heading our way."

Nami frowned. "How are you so sure?"

Lucas pointed. "I can sense the bubbles I made for them."

As the Sunny sailed toward his direction, the darkness faded into a dim bluish glow. Chopper gasped, eyes wide. "Waaaahhh!!! It's a giant jellyfish above us!"

Brook's voice softened in awe. "It's sparkling… like the night sky."

The jellyfish lowered a glowing tentacle toward the Sunny.

Chopper's voice was hopeful. "Do you think it wants to be our friend?"

Robin snapped sharply. "Don't touch it, Chopper! Its tentacles are extremely poisonous!"

Chopper leapt back, horrified. "Whaaaat?!"

Franky's eyes widened. "Not good—it's reaching for us!"

Nami shouted, "Quickly, use a Coup de Burst!"

BOOOOM! The Sunny rocketed away escaping and just as they escaped another sea monster appeared devouring the jellyfish whole—only to convulse and collapse, paralyzed.

Brook chuckled in the background. "Ahh… so it's true. Using Coup de Burst thins the air in the bubble. But I suppose it's better than being eaten."

Chopper pointed, horrified. "That fish ate the jellyfish… but now it's upside down!"

Robin's voice was steady. "As I thought—the jellyfish's poison paralyzed it."

Chopper whimpered. "The ocean really is a scary place…"

Brook suddenly noticed the rope that tied up Caribou was loose and left on the deck and Caribou gone. "Umm… has anyone seen that pirate?"

Usopp blinked. "Oh yeah… I forgot about him."

Chopper muttered. "I haven't seen him since we reached the deepwater regions…"

Caribou whispered from his hiding spot. "Haha! What a bunch of idiots… I'll escape once we reach Fishman Island…"

But Franky stomped over to the barrel he was hiding in, he tied up and sealed the barrel tightly. "Found him." Franky said while sealing it tight. "We should've been more careful. That guy's definitely some type of Logia user."

Suddenly, Usopp tugged at his coat. "Huh? Why is it getting hot in here?"

Nami's voice rose in alarm. "Oh no—this is a hydrothermal deposit! If we continue on this course we'll end up in danger!"

Usopp panicked. "Hydro-what?!"

Sanji lit his cigarette, calm but sharp. "An undersea volcano."

The ground shook—THUD… THUD… Large steps echoed.

Chopper screamed. "It's a giant flat-faced crab!!"

The crew panicked. "It's reaching it claw toward us. It'll burst the bubble!!"

Nami cried, "Quick use a Coup de Burst—NOW!!"

BOOOOM! The Sunny shot deeper into the volcanic trench. Suddenly, a radiant glow appeared ahead. Chopper's eyes gleamed. "Huh? What's that shining thing? Could it be Fishman Island?"

Nami shook her head. "No… we still have thousands of meters to descend."

Lucas's orb illuminated the source—revealing a monstrous anglerfish, its gaping maw opening up.

"Gyaaaaa!!!" The Straw Hats screamed as the predator lunged.
