"Gyaaaaa!!!" The Straw Hats screamed as the giant anglerfish lunged, its glowing lure casting eerie light across the abyss.
Franky cursed, slamming controls. "Crap! we fell for its ruse!"
BOOOOM! The Sunny jolted forward, as the Straw Hats used another Coup de Burst, a small one. They narrowly escaping the snapping jaws.
Suddenly, a thunderous voice echoed. "Ankoro BAD!!" A massive fist shot out of the darkness, smashing the anglerfish's head.
On deck, Usopp fainted instantly. Nami's eyes widened. "What the heck was that?!"
Franky squinted. "Looks like… a person?"
Sanji lit his cigarette, skeptical. "How can someone that huge survive down here?"
Lucas muttered, "Maybe… a giant Fishman."
The colossal figure scolded the anglerfish like a child. "Bad fishie!! You can't go eatin' ships! How many times do I gotta tell you?!"
Sanji frowned. "Why's it talking like that…?"
Usopp, waking up and acting like he never fainted, stood behind Sanji. "Who cares! Perfect time to run while it's distracted!"
But then—🎵 "Oh, dead men know no words and know no greed…" A haunting song drifted through the water.
The crew turned as a tattered ship sailed closer. Brook's jaw rattled. "A ghost ship!!!"
Usopp smacked him. "How come you're the one who got scared!"
Brook pointed, trembling. "No, look—it's the Flying Dutchman!"
The mast bore the name in faded letters. Brook explained its cursed legend, but before he finished, a voice bellowed from the ship.
"Ankoro… Wadatsumi! If you eat the ship, how can we steal its treasure? Smash it instead!"
The giant Fishman Wadatsumi roared, "Roger dat!!" He raised his fist toward the Sunny.
"Guaaaah!!! The Umibouzi is attacking!" The crew panicked.
Nami screamed, "Franky, quick use another Coup de Burst!!"
Franky's face fell. "It's no good, we're out of fuel!"
Usopp wailed. "I'm too young to die!!"
Chopper cried. "Me too!!"
Nami shrieked. "And I'm too pretty to die!!"
Suddenly, he giant octopus surged forward from the dark, one of its tentacles curled into a fist, slamming Wadatsumi with a massive strikes. Wadatsumi's eyes rolled as he toppled backward.
Luffy's voice rang out. "Alright, that's enough!" The octopus froze as it's demeanor changed after hearing Luffy's voice.
The crew turned—two glowing pink bubbles approached. Inside were Luffy and Zoro.
Chopper's eyes lit up. "It's Luffy and Zoro!!"
Usopp sighed in relief. "We were worried sick!"
Nami crossed her arms, seeing the two enter the Sunny. "You really went and tamed that monster octopus, huh?"
Luffy grinned. "Yep! We're gonna sail these depths like pros with Surume by our side!"
Nami muttered, "You even named it…"
From the Flying Dutchman, Vanderdecken shouted. "Wadatsumi! Get up! Get 'em back!!" But then suddenly the sea floor trembled.
Luffy blinked. "Huh? What's with the shaking?"
Nami's face paled. "That can't be good… The undersea volcanoes are about to erupt!!"
"Whaaaaaat!!!" The crew screamed. Nami turned to the others. "Quick! We have to get out of here."
Luffy commanded, "Surume! Carry the Sunny and RUN!!"
The octopus obeyed, scooping the ship and dashing across the volcanic seabed. Not long after the lava vents erupted, painting the ocean red. The crew's faces were lit orange by molten glow, and they started sweating from the heat as temperatures rose.
Vanderdecken's Dutchman fled too, Wadatsumi dragging it desperately alongside Surume and the Sunny.
The Straw Hats cheered, voices overlapping. "Run, Surume! Don't give up!!"
Finally, Surume leapt off the volcanic trench's edge falling deeper into the sea. At the same time volcano erupted again causing rocks and debris to rain down.
Lucas stepped forward, Biomnitrix glowing. "I got this!" He transformed into Eyeguy, dozens of eyes opening across his body. As he shot green plasma beams in succession, vaporizing falling boulders.
Surume balanced the Sunny atop its head, while descending safely. As they landed, light from the surface pierced through the depths.
The crew rose, gazes lifting. Robin's voice softened. "Look… ahead."
Fishman Island shimmered in the distance, glowing like a jewel beneath the sea.
