After the dungeon instance concluded, Chris returned to his room and sat on the bed. The screen displayed his results.

[Dungeon "Code Name: Destruction" (completed), rewards are as follows:]

[1. Berserk Gene (obtained)]

"Just need to complete the third commission, then I can go back and claim a legendary-level Pokemon item!"

Chris thought for a moment. Instead of personally delivering Archer and Proton back to the Hoenn Alliance, he selected Gardevoir from his Pokemon roster and had it teleport the captured Team Rocket executives directly back to the Hoenn Alliance headquarters.

He then made his way to the Pokemon Center in Dewford Town.

After habitually receiving treatment from Nurse Joy, Chris began heading toward Route 107.

He reviewed the specific details of the commission.

[A strange, unknown island was discovered on Route 107. When investigators approached, the unknown island vanished completely. It has been confirmed this was not a mirage. No immediate danger has been detected. Request sent for additional personnel to investigate the situation.]

In fact, Chris had already passed through Route 107 while searching for Team Rocket members earlier. Since Route 107 was located right next to Dewford Island, searching around Dewford Island naturally meant passing through Route 107.

However, at that time, instead of continuing further south, he had circled back around Dewford Island, so Chris hadn't found anything unusual.

Now Chris planned to head south and explore deeper into the route. Whether it was Sea Mauville or the "Codename: Destruction" Team Rocket hideout, he was going to obtain legendary-level Pokemon items, and the island mentioned in this commission shouldn't disappoint him either.

"Surf!" Chris commanded Gyarados to move forward, heading steadily southward.

Along the way, he encountered many young swimmers who didn't seem to understand the dangers they faced.

Eventually, he reached the edge of the mapped area.

A prompt appeared on his device.

[Do you want to enter Story Mode?]

"Story Mode!" Chris's eyes lit up with excitement.

When was the last time he had entered Story Mode?

During the Groudon versus Kyogre battle!

Could it be that legendary Pokemon would appear in battle once again?

Chris selected to enter Story Mode.

Suddenly, a vast expanse spread out before him, with water and sky sharing the same endless blue color, occasionally dotted with white clouds and flying Wingull. He found himself standing on the head of his red Gyarados, facing the boundless ocean.

"I don't see any legendary Pokemon either..."

The calm atmosphere made Chris somewhat puzzled. "Could they be underwater?"

"That's not right. The commission specifically mentioned seeing a small island."

As soon as he finished speaking, Chris spotted a faintly visible island surrounded by mist in the distance.

"Found it!" Chris immediately retrieved two Poke Balls. He recalled his red Gyarados with one ball and released another Pokemon with the second.

The pitch-black Lugia soared upward with powerful wing beats, carrying Chris on its back as it quickly flew toward the mysterious island.

Standing on Lugia's back and feeling the oncoming wind, this sensation was absolutely incredible!

He could finally understand Ash's joy in flying!

Lugia's speed was extraordinary, and they approached the island in what seemed like an instant, coming within three to four hundred meters of it.

Thanks to his enhanced vision from training, Chris could even see Liechi Berries growing on the trees through the surrounding mist. They appeared delicate and vibrant, truly a delightful sight.

But in the next moment, the hazy mist, the island, and the beautiful Liechi Berries all vanished completely.

That's right—they simply disappeared, vanishing into thin air.

There were no warning signs whatsoever.

After Lugia flew to where the island should have been, Chris confirmed that absolutely nothing remained there. Below the ocean's surface, there was nothing but seawater.

"It's the same situation the commissioned investigators encountered," Chris muttered to himself, patting Lugia's shoulder to signal it to return to the previous position.

When Lugia moved back to three or four hundred meters away from where the island had been, the small island shrouded in mist reappeared before Chris's eyes, sitting quietly on the sea with its Liechi Berries still visible.

As if they had never left at all.

"Gardevoir! Scan it with Psychic power," Chris called out, retrieving a Poke Ball and releasing his Pokemon.

Whether it existed or not, whether it was a mirage—scanning it with psychic power would reveal the truth!

The Gardevoir that appeared immediately completed its Mega Evolution.

Mega Gardevoir, dressed in its elegant black gown, floated gracefully in the air. The dress, resembling a wedding gown, billowed like fabric caught in a gentle breeze as psychic power spread outward, creating a mesmerizing display.

Before long, Mega Gardevoir withdrew its psychic power and had results to report.

"Nai~ (Master, there is indeed an island there, but the island's surface appears to be covered by a layer of temporal and spatial power)"

"Nai~ (The temporal and spatial power separates the connection between our time and the island's time, so we can see it, but we cannot actually reach it!)" Gardevoir explained in detail. Through the Soothe Bell, Chris could clearly understand its explanation.

"Shrouded by temporal and spatial power? Who possesses such incredible abilities?" Chris became increasingly intrigued.

Which Pokemon in the Pokemon world wielded both temporal and spatial power simultaneously?

Apart from Arceus, there shouldn't be any others, right?

Was this an island left behind by Arceus? Or had it been created through the combined efforts of Palkia and Dialga?

Chris couldn't help but think of Alamos Town from the movie.

A place that had nearly disappeared into the dimensions of space and time due to the battle between Palkia and Dialga.

"Nai~ (Master, I can attempt to use the Lustrous Orb to unlock the spatial power here and locate the island's true position)"

"Nai~ (However, I cannot do anything about the temporal power)" Gardevoir added.

"That's fine. Let's unlock the spatial power first," Chris waved his hand, already having an idea for solving the complete problem.

If Gardevoir could unleash spatial power using the Lustrous Orb, then perhaps he could unleash temporal power using the Adamant Orb?

While Chris pondered this possibility, Mega Gardevoir had already begun using the Lustrous Orb to unlock the island's spatial barriers.

The mist-covered island disappeared entirely, and even when Chris increased their distance, it remained invisible. This was because the island was no longer located on Route 107.

"So where is it now?" Chris asked Gardevoir.

"Nai! (Master, please follow me!)" Mega Gardevoir gestured slightly, causing its body to fly swiftly toward the northeast.

Lugia spread its magnificent wings and followed alongside Mega Gardevoir, carrying Chris toward their new destination.
