Chapter 795 - Chapter 795: The Three Beast Ancestors, Battle with Blood Ming

Chapter 795: The Three Beast Ancestors, Battle with Blood Ming

"The inheritance of the Primordial Ancestral Ape… it truly exists…"

Staring at the three towering stone statues—his eyes drawn most intensely to the glorious purple-gold monument dedicated to the Primordial Ancestral Ape—Mo Yu couldn't contain the surge of excitement and awe rising within him.

He had once fused with the divine beast bloodline of the Sky-Shaking Ape Clan, but in the grand hierarchy of beast races, they were average at best—barely notable among the minor divine beast branches. His strength, his ability to move unhindered through the Divine Beast Plains—those came not from his lineage, but from his own monstrous talent.

Still, Mo Yu knew the truth. Even genius had limits. Once he reached the threshold of the Earth Supreme Realm, the current beast body's potential would wane into nothingness. Should he continue ascending toward Heavenly Supreme, his existing bloodline would even become a burden. The Sky-Shaking Ape bloodline, for all its pride, couldn't even rival the raw strength of the Ximo Clan.

But now… before him lay the chance to obtain the inheritance blood of the Primordial Ancestral Ape—the mightiest of all ancient beasts.

To pass this up? Impossible.

If he could seize this legacy, he could rebuild his beast body entirely into the Primal Ape's Physique—a power that stood equal to, if not superior to, the Dragon and Phoenix races themselves.

That legendary body surpassed all constraints of flesh. It was the foundation of an existence that once rivaled gods.

And if Mo Yu could merge that lineage with his own path of cultivation, then one day—when his true self's affinity with lightning joined his clone's perfected body—their combined strength would rise above even those names once hailed across worlds… surpassing even Xiao Yan himself.

Han Yue's voice broke his reverie. "According to the ancient texts, it's true… The Divine Beast Plains once had three Beast Ancestors. When the Plains were destroyed, they unleashed their final vengeance—slaying several Outer Realm Kings and sealing their corpses in this domain."

Three Beast Ancestors.

Mo Yu nodded slowly, his gaze sweeping those colossal statues again. Just their remnants carried enough might to freeze his blood.

"It seems everyone who was meant to arrive has come," Qing Ling of the Forest Python Clan said softly from another platform. Her jade-green eyes glimmered as she surveyed the mountain-sized altar before them.

Her voice spread across the assembly. "Those who've made it here have proven their strength. This inner sanctum is the resting ground of the Three Beast Ancestors—their essence lingers still. As you've surmised, each of these statues holds within it a drop of ancestral blood inheritance."

Murmurs rippled through the gathered warriors. Even the strongest bowed with reverence at her words.

"However…" Qing Ling's tone dropped. "There are only three drops of blood essence. Meaning, only three individuals will leave here with the ancestors' legacy. The rest—will gain nothing."

Shock swept through the lesser teams. Their excitement died instantly, replaced by unease. Only three inheritances. Even among the apex clans, some would be left empty-handed—what chance did they have?

Mo Yu remained calm. He had already surmised something like this. Obtaining an ancestral inheritance would never be simple.

The air grew still over the altar. The competing forces eyed one another warily; tension thickened like coiled wire.

At last, laughter broke the silence.

Blood Ming of the Blood Sky Jiao Clan stepped forward, his crimson robes gleaming faintly under the eerie light. "If that's the rule," he said coolly, "then I'll claim the inheritance of the Ancient Swallowing Python."

In a blur of movement, he vaulted up the ancient stairway toward the massive statue of the serpent divine beast. His arrival atop the first plaza provoked murmurs below.

No one dared to object. His power—half-step into the ninth rank—spoke for itself.

But before the whispers could fade, another figure stepped forward.

Under countless astonished gazes, Mo Yu silently began ascending the same path.

Gasps and low voices followed him—some mocking, some incredulous.

"This human really doesn't know fear..."

"Does he think he can challenge Blood Ming head-on?"

Blood Ming's smile froze. His crimson irises flicked sharply toward Mo Yu as the latter calmly strode up the final steps onto the plaza.

"Courting death, are you?" Blood Ming's voice was soft, but the chill it carried froze the air.

Mo Yu met his gaze without hesitation. "That inheritance… also interests us."

The Blood Sky Jiao prodigy's eyes narrowed to slits. Then, slowly, a cruel smirk crept across his mouth. "So, you'd like to perform with me? Fine. Every show needs its fool."

Cai Lin's delicate expression hardened below, fury flashing through her golden eyes. Her killing intent rippled outward, but Mo Yu simply raised a hand slightly.

"Fools?" he said evenly. "We'll see soon enough who plays the clown."

Blood Ming's mocking grin lingered. "Arrogant to the last, I see." He closed his eyes, expression smoothing into chilling indifference—but the murderous aura radiating from his body thickened, crimson mist pulsing around him.

When he struck, it would be instant, ruthless, and final.

Mo Yu's fingers flexed slightly, his gaze sharpening. He had to admit—the man had strength. As a Blood Sky Jiao, arrogance came naturally to him, but it was earned.

"I will kill you here," Blood Ming said softly, eyes snapping open, "and bury you in this cursed place."

The ground shook. He slammed a foot down.

A shockwave of blood energy erupted like a flood. The air froze; frost made of killing intent raced across the floor of the plaza, turning the ground into red ice. The cold energy spiraled outward, seeking to devour Mo Yu whole.

Boom!

Brilliant violet-gold light burst from Mo Yu's body. His Sky-Shaking Divine Arm flared to life, runes of power dancing across his skin. He thrust out a single fist.

The punch tore open the void itself. Power coiled like a dragon, colliding with the crashing wave of blood energy.

The impact shook the entire altar.

Mo Yu staggered back, boots carving eight deep footprints into the blood-iced floor. Then his eyes lit with fierce brilliance.

Roar!

Energy spiraled through his arm as he slammed forward again, his punch splitting through the frozen river of blood, shattering the crimson layers with explosive force.

Cracks spidered across the frozen floor before the attack detonated completely.

The oppressive blood tide burst apart into a shower of crimson dust.

Around the arena, countless cultivators gasped. The strength behind that punch—it was raw, unrestrained, and impossible to feign. Even an eighth-rank Supreme would falter under such brute force.

Violet-gold light danced around Mo Yu's frame, his beast body fully unleashed—every movement radiant with volcanic might.

Blood Ming appeared overhead, his laughter echoing between heaven and earth. "Hmph. Impressive strength. But if that was enough to challenge me, there'd be no need for gods."

He snapped his wrist, and the shattered droplets of blood hanging in the air suddenly froze in place, glinting like shards of crimson crystal. Then, they moved—as countless spears launched downward in a deadly storm.

Mo Yu crossed his forearms, violet light flashing as his defense hardened. The rain of blood struck but failed to penetrate—the divine arm holding strong.

Blood Ming's frown deepened, his killing intent now tangible.

"How fortunate," he murmured coldly. "You'll die to a worthy technique."

He extended his hand upward.

The sky split open. From the rift poured a monstrous tide of energy—a storm of freezing blood that darkened the world. Within that crimson maelstrom, a giant blood dragon coiled, ancient runes flickering across its scales.

The breath it exhaled warped space itself.

Even the elites below stepped back, faces pale.

"That power…" one whispered. "That's half-step ninth-rank—he's unleashing his full strength!"

With a low rumble, the blood dragon twisted in the sky, its roar shaking every heart present.

Blood Ming thrust his palm downward.

"Blood Dragon Scripture—The Devouring of Ten Thousand Beasts!"

The heavens bled as the colossal dragon fell. Its body burned with molten crimson light as it crashed toward Mo Yu, dragging behind it a river of annihilation.

Mo Yu's eyes narrowed.

Energy surged from deep within him, purer and denser than before.

A sensation swept through the observers. "He—he broke through… half-step eighth-rank Supreme!"

The shift in his aura was undeniable—a monumental step in cultivation, achieved mid-battle.

Violet-gold power swept outward as he clenched his fist calmly, drawing all his energy inward until space warped around his hand. Then—slowly—he punched.

At first, the motion seemed almost languid, heavy. But the air rippled violently wherever it passed. Waves of twisted space spiraled out, and deep within those distortions, all could sense annihilation.

Then the world detonated.

The punch collided with the descending dragon in a burst of cataclysmic light. Runes shattered, energy screamed. Ripples of force tore through the plaza, cracking the ancient stones beneath their feet.

A pillar of violet-gold light shot into the sky—pure, wild, unstoppable.

The blood dragon shrieked once, its scales peeling away before its body exploded into crimson mist.

When the shockwaves faded, only Mo Yu remained standing, his body wreathed in golden light, his eyes burning like twin stars.

The would-be devourer of beasts was gone—its blood raining harmlessly into the void.
