Derek, who recently returned from the trading post, sat alone in the adventurer's guild, nursing a beer. Derek was frowning, shoulders slumped, paying no attention to his surroundings. Two men dressed in normal clothing entered the guild hall, scanned it, and walked up to Derek.
"Are you Derek?" One of them asked.
"Leave me be." Derek groaned.
"We are investigating King Titus, may we ask you a few questions?" The other man said.
"He's a monster, you'll see." Derek mumbled.
The two men looked at each other and nodded. Then they sat at Derek's table.
"Is that so?" One said, interested. "The legends say that fairies are ruthless monsters, and King Titus is a fairy too, right?"
"Exactly." Derek said, perking up a little. "I'm sure he'll kill us all one day, just like in the legends."
"To my knowledge, King Titus has yet to kill anyone. They say he stopped the invasion without killing anyone. He even spared your life in a duel. If he does intend to kill us all, why wait?"
