He named it the Sixty-Six Hammer Art because, in his mind, that was how far he planned to master the technique. However, even up to the point he died, he hadn't mastered half of it.
It wasn't because he wasn't serious enough or that he lacked the comprehension speed to master a technique he had created himself. It was because, despite being a Barbarian and a blacksmith, his body still wasn't strong enough to handle even the 23rd Hammer.
His peak was the 22nd Hammer. Even then, he could only use it once with a 48-hour cooldown.
Kent knew he himself wasn't strong enough to unleash the 66th Hammer. However, his body was strong enough to unleash a much better form of it, the Sixty-Six Hammer Art - the First Hammer.
As the giant hammer split the clouds and descended, the entire planet trembled.
