"Tch…" Artemis clicked her tongue at the sight of John Constantine and instantly regretted that the healing mist was still active as John and his companion were healed. But upon seeing the demon, her hands quickly drew the bow as an arrow with blinding light appeared.
"Woahhhh!!! Please… they are our allies." Shazam appeared like lightning before Artemis, lowering the aim of her bow as if telling her stand down.
"And frankly speaking, I don't want to deal with that again." Shazam's face darkened, his movement surprised everyone there as he was in front of the goddess of the hunt instantly.
"..." Artemis looked at Shazam, then at Etrigan, then back at Shazam again.
'... Patience Artemis, patience. Once this all over, I don't have to deal with them.' Artemis thought, looking at the fearless, hero before her. She could sense the blessings of several powerful beings on him and decided to tread carefully.
"Fine–" Artemis replied in slow motion as a punch sent her flying.
"Dont' stop on my account–" Etrigan teased but stopped, as his eyes finally caught up with Artemis flying from attack he didn't even register instantly, his jaw dropped as he took a guarded stance and summoned his sword.
"I guess my timeouts over." Donna said as she delivered a high knee kick that Shazam blocked with a look of 'you are beneath me' on his face.
'This is nothing compared to what I experienced that day. She is dangerously fast, but I at least I can see her after image and react accordingly.' Shazam thought and released a pillar of lightning instantly, but Donna was already out of the way already.
Another lightning strike cackled, and a loud bellow filled the area, "WHERE IS THAT FUCKING CLOWN!!!!" Black Adam bellowed, calling for a rematch to claim his dignity back.
"I can't believe you killed Harley!" Donna said as she charged forward and grabbed Artemis by the neck but grabbed light instead as Artemis reappeared above. Arthur, already healed, swung his Excalibur at Donna, creating giant watery slicing wave that Donna blocked with both hands much to the shock of the king of the seas. Shazam and Batman immediately hit her at her sides, causing her to kneel, they moved like a well oiled machine even just having together fought for the first time.
"Green boy take out these useless heroes, they will only be in the way… no, wait…" Artemis paused in her decision as Beast Boy muttered to himself about the name he was given. Artemis, put her hand in her bag and pulled it out as tiny objects enlarged themselves as soon as they were exposed to the atmosphere.
"Arm yourselves with these, and prove your usefulness in combat." Artemis voice echoed below to the mortals as Robin and the others found amour and weapons of various kinds and origin on the floor.
"Hold on, let daddy give them his magic touch. You wouldn't want to be disarmed mid-fight just because she felt like taking them back now, would you?" John Constantine said as magic circles glowed on his hands and the weapons and armours alike.
With a few incantations the weapons all turned into light and enveloped the heroes. Artemis saw this and clicked her tongue in regret again. She had forgotten how talented in the arcane arts, the young sorcerer from London was. She would deal with him later, but there was another acolyte of the usurper that had to be taken of now.
When the light dissipated, everyone's outfit or suit had golden highlights around it as if it were supercharged with something magical.
"You… you…" Aqualad looked as his hands, feeling the jump in power in his body, his eyes were the colour of lightning, his tattoos glowed a brighter blue with a hue of gold. His swords morphed into a trident, his hair was static as if fried by lightning.
John Constantine was all smiles folding his hands proudly. He was getting the knack for acquiring items faster from the Greek pantheon.
"That's another one on the long unending list of people that want you dead, not even the devil will want to be with you in bed." Etrigan jested, laughing at the goddess above who had nothing but hate for his kind.
"Our abilities and physicality…" Ra's Al Ghul started, observing the changes in his body. He looked ten years younger and taller than before, his muscles were tighter and denser than before.
"No wayyy… this is great… way better than weapons and armour!!!!" Terra said with a wicked grin on her face, her eyes glowed golden, her being hovered twelve inches above ground, her hair seemed to rise unassisted by the wind, even her aura changed.
"This… hey, sorcerer! What did you to us!" Robin spoke after observing the wild changes around him and found himself moving beyond his capabilities and was in front of John Constantine in a second. He only wanted to hold John by the tie, bringing him down to head level but found that his legs had already done the moving, and he was in front of the sorcerer before anything happened.
"Easy there, bloke. I simply enhanced your beings with the power bestowed upon those weapons armour already. I thought it would be better to just enhance you lot, rather than just have you take a piss at weapons some of you haven't even used yet." John Constantine said as he pulled away from Robin, adjusted his tie and took a sip from his flask acquired from his breast pocket.
"That… that makes sense, sorcerer." Red Star said in his rich Russian accent and flew toward them.
"I was already powerful, stronger than a thousand bears. I feel as though I have crossed another threshold in power. You are very useful than you look, sorcerer." Red Star folded his arms confidently and met them but still hovered an inch above ground.
"For fucks sake, it's John fucking Constantine! Maybe leave out the fucking after a few drinks or so then… but it's John!" John Constantine walked away from them as the sky crackled violently with thunder, lightning and shockwaves.
"But even though, I am more powerful now…" A deep voice made heads turn in surprise, some in fright.
"I fear it's not enough to compete with the likes of those above, but that doesn't mean we can't affect the outcome." It was none other than Jericho who SPOKE as he hovered with glowing white eyes.
"No fucking way, man." Aqualad cheered and jumped to meet Jericho and hugged him in a warm embrace and kissed his forehead.
"It is amazing to speak, but there is an opportunity to help. Harley is over there." Jericho pointed to head flying away stealthily away from the scene.
"She's escaping! Teen Titans… END HER!" Robin ordered, but Beast Boy was already on it as he caught Harley's head that was still forming her ethereal body. He was in a werewolf form with large wings.
"This is the end of the road Harley." Beast Boy said with an almost sad expression on his face.
"Finish her!" Robin ordered as he and the team surrounded Harley in no time flat.
"Don't give me that, BB! Spare me your pity!" Harley snapped and spat on his face, causing him to flinch and in the next moment Beast Boy's nose picked up something and immediately put up his arms to block as he was pushed away a great distance from the knock back. But his feet never left the ground, only sliding across the earth.
"Catwoman… you should know sneaking up on me is useless. You'd be surrounded in no time and your head will be next." Beast Boy said while holding Harley's head.
"Catwoman's here? Hey come save from this furry!!!! But hold on, what's with the wings couldn't you already fly?" Harley pleaded but got distracted again like as if her life was not in the hands of her adversary.
