This little movement just happened to fall into Pei Heyan's ears. He looked forward, asking, "Something on your mind?"
Wen Tang shook her head, "No."
She put the phone back in her bag.
But a few seconds later, the ringing broke the silence within the car, and Pei Heyan said unhurriedly, "Answer it."
What seemed like a casual remark was in fact laden with an oppressive force that made Wen Tang shiver with unease.
She had no choice but to answer.
Pei Heyan took the phone and turned on the speakerphone, leaving Wen Tang stunned, a flicker of surprise crossing her eyes.
Lu Yun laughed, "Xiao Tang, what are you doing?"
Intuition told Wen Tang that this call was premeditated, and even her breathing became more cautious.
Under the pressuring gaze of Pei Heyan, Wen Tang cleared her throat and started, "I'm organizing files."
"Dad, nothing important, I'll hang up now, let's talk later tonight."
