Wen Tang calmly took a sip of tea.
The office door was twisted open.
Pei Heyan's towering figure appeared in the sight of the three. He stopped in front of Wen Tang and said to Lu Nianxin and Lu Minghao, "I'm afraid that's not possible today."
"Secretary Wen and I have a very important reception to attend at noon."
Upon hearing this, Wen Tang was stunned.
Yet, inexplicably, he breathed a sigh of relief.
Lu Minghao, not giving up, approached Pei Heyan, glanced at Wen Tang, then turned his head to Pei Heyan and said, "Future brother-in-law, it's just a meal. Why not let another secretary go with you?"
"Think of it as a favor for your little brother-in-law who just returned to the country. Let her join us for a meal to help establish our sibling relationship. Who knows, if we need each other in the future, we can lend a hand to one another."
As the words fell, Pei Heyan's brows knitted together.
