At dusk, as scheduled, I arrived at the banquet venue and haven't even gotten out of the car when a large expanse of snowy white skin caught Pei Heyan's eye.
He furrowed his brows looking at Wen Tang, "You're wearing this?"
Wen Tang combed her hair through the rear-view mirror, "Is there something wrong?"
She had purposely changed to a more vibrant lipstick, and her makeup was only a tiny bit more glamorous than usual. It wasn't enough to embarrass Pei Heyan, nor did it seem inappropriate.
"Go back," Pei Heyan ordered.
Wen Tang turned towards him, "Why?"
Having come all this way, to just leave would mean missing the chance to meet with Lu Yun, ruining all her efforts.
Pei Heyan's narrow gaze slid all the way down, falling on Wen Tang's delicate shoulders.
It finally lingered on her fair back, and he squeezed out a few words, "It's indecent."
Wen Tang subconsciously touched her shoulder and turned to look at her back.
That was a unique feature of this black dress.
