"Ah Tang, let me explain." Pei Heyan's face showed distress, "She and I are a thing of the past."
Wen Tang was startled and looked at him, "Hmm?"
A thing of the past.
Could it be that they had loved each other before?
"It's not like that." Pei Heyan realized something was off and explained again, "If I had even the slightest feelings for her, I wouldn't have allowed her to announce the dissolution of our marriage."
Wen Tang's almond eyes flickered.
That made sense.
She buckled her seatbelt and slowly started the car.
Pei Heyan saw her looking forward, unmoved, and he pressed, "Don't you believe me?"
Wen Tang, observing the good road condition through the rearview mirror, turned the corner.
She didn't speak.
But if she were really angry, she wouldn't be as calm as she was now.
"I guess she came over to greet you just to upset you," Pei Heyan calmed down and his lips parted slightly.
Wen Tang's red lips slowly curved into a smile.
