The innate coldness and indifference that cloaked her being also concealed much of her emotions.
"Lady, this gown has also been tried on by two other customers before you, but it does not look as good on anyone as it does on you," staff circled around Wen Tang, complimenting, "And in all my time working here, I've only seen clothes complement people, never have I seen a person complement the clothes."
Wen Tang stepped forward to where Pei Heyan stood.
She didn't want to hear from the staff how she looked.
She only wanted Pei Heyan to give his opinion.
"Not bad," Pei Heyan surveyed her, and although it was a strapless design, it revealed a waistline more modestly than a backless dress would.
"Then it's settled on this one," Wen Tang straightened Pei Heyan's tie, having handed her credit card to the staff member the day before.
Pei Heyan began to object, but she shook her head, "This time, let me take care of the bill."
The staff went to the front desk to swipe the card.
