Charlie pursed his lips, took a small sip of coffee, "I heard you arrested some of your old friends?"
"Old friends?"
Director Bru responded with a question, then laughed softly, "Mr. Charlie, this is an internal police matter, and you are not part of the police department."
"You have no right to know the details of these matters, so there's nothing to disclose."
Charlie, still somewhat unwilling to let it go, with a sense of unease and slight fear about the matter, asked again, "Are you sure you want to fall out with me?"
Director Bru shook his head, "These have nothing to do with you, Mr. Charlie."
