Chapter 829 - [829] : You’re Not Exactly One to Talk

~ Next Bonus, 300!

After Shin and Soi Fon arrived, Yoruichi immediately dragged Soi Fon off for a sparring session, leaving Shin and Retsu Unohana behind.

"What are you two standing around for? Come over and watch the fight!" Yoruichi shouted, beckoning Shin to join them as a spectator.

Shin paused for a moment. He had assumed Yoruichi would ignore him and Unohana to focus on her training, but it seemed she wanted an audience.

"I'll pass. Watching you two spar isn't exactly thrilling. It just feels like you're bullying Soi Fon," Shin called back.

If one were to compare the strength of Yoruichi and Soi Fon, the outcome was obvious. Soi Fon simply couldn't compare to Yoruichi yet—the gap between them was still quite significant.

"Who says I'm bullying her? I just want to have a proper spar with Soi Fon," Yoruichi retorted, genuinely curious about how much Soi Fon had improved over the last few days.

One thing was certain: Soi Fon's strength had definitely increased. After all, Shin had been personally mentoring her during this time.

In the end, Shin was dragged by Yoruichi to the 4th Division training grounds. Unohana, however, did not join them.

Because of Yoruichi's presence over the past few days, Unohana's schedule had been thrown off, and she now had a backlog of duties to attend to.

Upon arriving at the training grounds, Shin looked at Yoruichi and Soi Fon standing opposite each other. He smiled and addressed Soi Fon directly.

"Soi Fon, don't hold back, okay?"

"After all, your base strength is already weaker than Yoruichi's. If you hold back, you're just going to get bullied."

Shin offered this advice out of kindness. Given Soi Fon's immense admiration for Yoruichi, she would undoubtedly try to pull her punches during the spar.

"Understood." Soi Fon nodded firmly. She knew she couldn't afford to hold back, and she wouldn't.

"Lady Yoruichi, I'm coming." Soi Fon announced.

The next instant, Soi Fon utilized Shunpo to appear directly behind Yoruichi. Her speed was incredible, fast enough that even Yoruichi found it difficult to react instantly.

However, Yoruichi knew Soi Fon's style well. She twisted her body and blocked behind her, catching Soi Fon's fist perfectly.

"Not going to use your Shikai?" Yoruichi asked. Without her Shikai, Soi Fon would struggle to contend with Yoruichi.

"Then, Lady Yoruichi, I will release it."

Soi Fon had no intention of using Bankai. Firstly, her Bankai was ill-suited for this kind of combat. Unless it was a life-or-death situation, she wouldn't use it.

If she actually unleashed her Bankai, she'd likely blow up the entire 4th Division barracks, and that wasn't something she wanted to do.

Besides, the combat power she could unleash with just her Shikai was formidable enough, offering her a significant boost.

"Sting all enemies to death, Suzumebachi!"

As Soi Fon released her Shikai, her Reiatsu surged, and her attacks became noticeably sharper and more lethal.

Yoruichi had to be wary of the Homonka (Bee Crest Flower). If she were struck in the same spot twice, it would be an instant kill.

Only by possessing Reiatsu vastly superior to Soi Fon's could one negate the two-hit kill effect, effectively rendering Suzumebachi useless.

While Yoruichi's Reiatsu was certainly higher than Soi Fon's, it wasn't an entire tier above to the point of complete negation.

However, against Yoruichi, landing two hits in the exact same spot was an incredibly difficult task.

Engaging in close-quarters combat, Soi Fon was soon knocked back. Landing on the ground, she was forced to continuously dodge Yoruichi's relentless attacks.

Watching this, Shin shook his head slightly.

"She's still holding back."

In reality, if Soi Fon were to release the seal on her energy and utilize the Kidō Shin had taught her, she could suppress Yoruichi for a short time.

But she didn't. Presumably, she felt the power of those techniques was too great and didn't want to risk injuring Yoruichi.

With Shin watching, there was no need for such concern. Even if things got out of hand, he would intervene immediately.

There was no need to worry about hurting Yoruichi by going all out—Yoruichi wasn't that fragile.

"Alright, let's stop here." Yoruichi suddenly called a halt.

Yoruichi had realized it too. Soi Fon was fighting timidly, afraid to unleash her true strength.

Sparring with a restrained Soi Fon felt too much like bullying.

"Soi Fon, if you keep holding back like this, there's no point in continuing," Yoruichi said sternly.

"You're not exactly one to talk," Shin interjected, glancing at Yoruichi.

If Soi Fon was being timid, Yoruichi wasn't much better. She, too, was pulling her punches significantly.

Yoruichi shot Shin a glare. She viewed Soi Fon as her own little sister, and since she was stronger, of course she had to go easy on her.

"Just watch quietly over there! Why are you talking so much? Unless you want to spar with me?" Yoruichi huffed.

"Sure. I have no objection to sparring with you. I'm just afraid you might have an objection deep down," Shin replied, looking at her with amusement.

Hearing Shin agree so readily, Yoruichi didn't press further, only rolling her eyes at him. Fighting Shin was out of the question—the gap in their strength was astronomical.

If she could actually beat Shin, Yoruichi wouldn't mind fighting him just to teach him a lesson.

Deep down, she did want to teach him a lesson. But Yoruichi wasn't delusional. She knew that in a real fight, the difference between them was vast.

Shin could crush her effortlessly. Challenging someone who could stomp her into the ground would be pure idiocy.

"I'm not fighting you," Yoruichi grumbled.

"I knew you wouldn't dare. If you actually had the guts, that would be great—I could openly bully you for a change," Shin said with a smile.

"By the way, do you still plan to continue learning Kendo?" Shin asked.

By now, Yoruichi should have a clear understanding of herself. She must realize that her talent in the way of the sword was sorely lacking.

"Although I hate to admit it, my talent in Kendo is indeed terrible. So, I'm not going to continue training in it," Yoruichi admitted directly. She knew her limits and saw no point in struggling further.

She wanted to attain swordsmanship like Unohana's, but it was impossible. Leaving aside the effort required, she simply didn't meet the talent threshold.

"So, does that mean Lady Yoruichi won't be staying in the 4th Division anymore?" Soi Fon asked, hope coloring her voice.

Soi Fon was delighted. She wanted Yoruichi to return to the 2nd Division. If Yoruichi stayed in the 4th Division, Soi Fon wouldn't get to see her often.

"That's right, I'm ready to go back. Even if you guys hadn't come today, I was planning to return."

Yoruichi recalled the past month spent training in the 4th Division. It had been a living hell. Unohana's training was incredibly strict—she wondered if it was intentional.
