What do you guys think of Dragon Ball World??

They didn't stay in the 4th Division much longer. Shin was practically dragged back to the 2nd Division barracks by Yoruichi.
After that, Shin resumed his leisurely lifestyle. There wasn't much to do usually—at most, he would oversee Soi Fon's training. The rest of the time, he was essentially a slacker.
"Soi Fon, didn't you go to the Shin'ō Academy to recruit new members? How come you didn't bring a single one back?"
It was graduation day at the Shin'ō Academy. Shin had sent Soi Fon to scout for fresh blood to join the 2nd Division. After all, the division needed to absorb new talent.
"There were no suitable candidates," Soi Fon replied, shaking her head.
Furthermore, not many people were willing to join the 2nd Division.
It was the hard truth—the 2nd Division wasn't a popular choice.
"Is that so? Forget it then. It's not like the 2nd Division is desperately short on manpower anyway." Shin didn't really care.
If no one wanted to join, Shin wasn't bothered. The current personnel were sufficient for the division's needs.
Though, if they had more people, the current members could slack off a bit more. It seemed the squad members wouldn't have that luxury.
"By the way, let Yoruichi know I'm heading to the 1st Division," Shin said, standing up.
He told Soi Fon first to prevent Yoruichi from running around looking for him later.
"Captain Shin is going to the 1st Division?" Soi Fon paused, surprised.
"Yeah, I'm going to check in at the First Division. I have some business with Old Man Yamamoto." Shin nodded.
He didn't elaborate on the nature of his business, and Soi Fon didn't pry. She simply went to inform Yoruichi.
Leaving the 2nd Division barracks, Shin strolled over to the First Division. He found Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto working in his office.
Yamamoto was quite busy, but he looked up in surprise when he saw Shin.
Yamamoto had a good grasp of the personalities of the Gotei 13 Captains. He knew exactly what kind of person Shin was.
First and foremost, Shin was a shut-in who rarely left the 2nd Division. He had never actively sought Yamamoto out before.
So, for him to come here now... what was happening? It had to be something specific—otherwise, he wouldn't be here.
"Old Man, I have something to discuss with you," Shin said.
"What is it?" Yamamoto didn't particularly mind Shin calling him "Old Man." It seemed he had gotten used to it.
Shin called him that frequently, much like Shunsui Kyōraku. Yamamoto had reprimanded him in the past, but it was useless. Now, he was accustomed to it.
"It's about the 2nd Division. I feel I'm no longer suitable to be the Captain, so I'm planning to retire and quit."
Shin cut straight to the chase. That's right—Shin didn't plan on being a Captain anymore. As for the reason? There wasn't really one. He just didn't want to do it anymore.
"Why?" Yamamoto frowned, staring at Shin.
From every perspective, Yamamoto wanted Shin to continue as the Captain of the Second Division, even if Shin was somewhat irresponsible regarding division affairs.
Yamamoto knew this—he had investigated.
But that didn't matter. It wasn't a problem. As long as Shin completed the missions Yamamoto assigned, that was enough. Besides, the 2nd Division hadn't fallen into chaos.
So, Yamamoto naturally didn't want Shin to suddenly resign. There was nothing wrong with him physically, so why quit?
"The 2nd Division's affairs are too troublesome. Dealing with them takes too much mental energy. I want to relax. I don't want to be a Captain anymore."
Shin told Yamamoto the reason directly. And it was the truth—he was simply too lazy to be Captain.
Hearing this, Yamamoto's frown deepened. Clearly, this excuse was unsatisfactory.
"If that is your reason, I do not permit it," Yamamoto stated bluntly.
If Shin had given a reason he couldn't refuse, Yamamoto might have agreed. But quitting because it was "troublesome"? Absolutely not.
What did he think the position of Captain was? Something he could pick up and drop on a whim? Yamamoto wouldn't allow it.
Moreover, Yamamoto knew exactly how Shin operated as a Captain.
He basically did nothing in the 2nd Division. If that was considered troublesome, then what wasn't troublesome?
"But I really don't want to do it. You know I don't do anything anyway. It's pointless to keep occupying the seat..."
Shin shrugged.
He had anticipated Yamamoto's refusal. His reason was indeed flimsy in the old man's eyes.
Yamamoto looked at Shin impassively, his eyes filled with dissatisfaction.
"Captain Shin, what do you take the position of Captain for?"
"No need to be so serious. Even if I stop being Captain, there's a suitable person to take over. Why get angry?"
Shin spoke calmly.
In the entire Soul Society, only Shin dared to speak so casually to Yamamoto. Even the frivolous Shunsui Kyōraku would cower upon hearing anger in Yamamoto's voice.
"You truly do not wish to continue as Captain?" Yamamoto asked again.
"That's right. I've made it very clear. Even if you force me to stay, I won't do any work. It's better to find a suitable replacement, don't you think?" Shin spread his hands.
"Who do you recommend?" Yamamoto thought for a moment before asking.
"Soi Fon, of course. I'm sure you know enough about the 2nd Division to realize she is perfectly suited for the role."
Hearing Shin's recommendation, Yamamoto was surprised. He had assumed Shin would recommend Yoruichi. He hadn't expected Soi Fon.
In reality, Shin couldn't recommend Yoruichi. He knew that with Yoruichi's current personality, she would never agree to be Captain again.
So, the only option was Soi Fon. She would likely agree. Furthermore, although she wasn't currently the Captain, she was already doing the Captain's work.
Basically, all matters in the 2nd Division, big or small, were handled by Soi Fon. As for Shin and Yoruichi, the Captain and Vice-Captain, they were essentially freeloaders.
"Fine. Go speak to Soi Fon first." Finally, Yamamoto agreed. Shin had managed to persuade the stubborn old man.
"However, if the 2nd Division encounters any issues in the future that they cannot resolve, you must step in." Yamamoto added a condition.
Given Shin's strength, it would be a waste not to utilize him in critical moments.
Shin considered it for a moment and eventually agreed—at least, he agreed on the surface.
