Chapter 42 - Chapter 42: The Advent Ceremony! I will make the entire United States witness a miracle!

Lynn nodded with satisfaction.

This creation was nothing short of perfect.

He walked up to the Human Torch, looking into those pupils that reflected his own figure, burning with orange-red Fire.

"Your name is Jim Hammond."

"Yes."

"But you are not human."

Lynn's voice was steady, carrying a kind of magic.

"You come from a higher-dimensional World, a World made of energy. There, there is no pain, no death, only Eternity of light and heat."

The Human Torch listened quietly.

"You came here because you sensed the filth and wailing of this World."

Lynn continued to weave the meaning of his existence for him.

"You are a kind being; your instinct is to protect, to purify."

He reached out and gently touched the Human Torch's chest.

It was hard and warm.

"But you know nothing of this World; you are like a newborn baby, feeling curious and unfamiliar with everything here."

"And I..."

Lynn looked straight into his eyes, saying every word clearly.

"Am your first coordinate in the human realm, your only guide. I will teach you how to understand this World, how to use your power, how to distinguish good from evil."

"Your will is supreme."

"Very good."

Lynn turned and looked at Dr. Horton to the side.

"Dr., get him some clothes."

Lynn instructed, "Then, prepare to welcome a grand... Advent ceremony."

Three days later.

The entire United States had fallen into a strange frenzy.

Lynn released a "prophecy" through an exclusive channel of The Stars and Stripes.

This report was a manifesto with carefully chosen words, filled with religious mysticism.

The article claimed that because of the shameless blasphemy against the God of War (Soldier Boy) by the "Red Joker" hiding in the gutters of Germany, the true gods had been enraged.

In order to purify the filth spread by the Joker, God would send another messenger, a Guardian Angel who wields Fire and light, to descend into the human realm!

"He will descend from the sky, clad in raging Fire."

"His light will pierce through the haze of war."

"His Fire will judge all sins."

The people's worship of Soldier Boy and their disdain for the Red Skull were skillfully guided and sublimated by Lynn, turning into a collective longing for a "miracle."

"A Guardian Angel? God, is this true?"

"We have the God of War, and now we are going to have a Guardian Angel?"

"This is God blessing the U.S.! We will surely win this war!"

Countless media outlets moved at the news, swarming toward New York like sharks smelling blood.

This was because Lynn had anonymously tipped off major newspapers, claiming that "abnormal celestial phenomena" had frequently appeared in a certain area on the outskirts of New York City recently.

For a time, that desolate open space on the outskirts of New York became even livelier than Times Square.

Reporters, fanatical believers, and onlookers packed the area tightly.

They set up their cameras and tents, staying awake all night.

All just to wait for that ethereal "miracle."

The night grew deep.

Just when everyone was waiting until they were drowsy and starting to suspect if this was another scam.

"Look! What is that!"

A cry pierced the silent night sky.

Everyone looked up.

They saw a "meteor" with a long trail of flames in the night sky, cutting through the clouds at an astonishing speed.

It was falling straight toward the open space where they were!

The light grew brighter and brighter, rapidly expanding from a small dot into a dazzling fireball!

A scorching wave of air rushed toward them; they could even smell the scent of the air being scorched!

"God!"

"It really is a meteor!"

The crowd exploded.

Terrified screams and fanatical prayers mixed together.

Reporters went crazy, disregarding danger, keeping their lenses locked firmly on the falling fireball.

"BOOM!!!"

A deafening roar.

The fireball slammed into the center of the open space reserved by the crowd.

The earth shook violently, and soil and rubble were thrown dozens of meters into the air by the impact, like a small earthquake.

A giant crater with a diameter of over twenty meters appeared before everyone.

In the center of the crater, flames raged, illuminating half the night sky in orange-red.

Everyone was stunned by this earth-shattering scene.

Just then.

In the flames at the bottom of the crater, a figure slowly floated up.

His whole body was burning with crimson flames.

Those flames seemed to be a part of his body.

It was his robe, his wings.

He lifted his head and scanned the stunned mortals around him.

There was no expression on his face, only curiosity about this World.

He extended a hand, and a ball of Fire danced happily in his palm.

Then he flashed a friendly and slightly confused smile at the nearest reporter.

"Click! Click! Click!"

Tom's hands were shaking so much he could barely hold the camera, but relying on professional instinct, he frantically pressed the shutter.

A god bathed in Fire stood at the bottom of the crater where the meteor had fallen, revealing his first smile to the human realm.

Tom's mind popped with the headline for tomorrow's front page — "Following the God of War, a Guardian Angel Descends to the Human Realm!"

This night, the entire United States would be sleepless.

People no longer needed evidence, no longer needed explanations.

They had witnessed a miracle with their own eyes!

This was God's favor upon the United States!

It was the final judgment on the Nazis of Germany!

On a hillside not far from there, Lynn sat in the car and lowered the binoculars in his hand.

The plan was executed perfectly.

From today on, this World had one more god.

And the instruction manual for this god was still firmly grasped in his hand.

Lynn picked up the car phone and dialed Colonel Phillips's number in Europe.

"Colonel, it's me."

On the other end of the line, Phillips was in a fit of rage, his voice sounding somewhat irritable.

"Lynn? You'd better have something important! That damn Soldier Boy drank up my whiskey stash again! And he complained that the masseur I found wasn't professional enough!"

"Colonel, don't be in such a hurry to get angry."

Lynn chuckled softly.

"In a while, I'll send you a better toy, a... obedient toy."

"What do you mean?"

"Get ready to welcome a new guest."

Lynn watched the Human Torch in the distance, who was surrounded by the crowd and starting to perform "Fire magic," and said slowly, "His name is the Human Torch, a polite, pure, kind, and obedient Guardian Angel."
