Chapter 258 - Chapter 258 - Plots of Destiny.

[Chapter Size: 2200 Words.]

Third Person POV

Skellige.

...

...

To reach Skellige flying on the dragon, it took about four hours.

As soon as they arrived on the main island, they began to lower their altitude, while the dragon advanced toward the middle of the island where the forest so familiar to Madara and Ciri was located, arriving at the lake where their cabin had been built.

The crash of the huge creature's landing drew the attention of the entire part of the forest, while the roars of monsters and sounds of all kinds of animals echoed, fleeing in terror and moving away from there, afraid to approach knowing that the creature that had just made that sound was enormous.

The dragon, in turn, stayed between the lake and the trees, knocking some down due to its massive size.

"We will spend the night here. Tomorrow we will return to the city." Madara said calmly, while jumping down together with Eleanor from the dragon, landing on the ground. Then, Ciri teleported to their side, while the dragon looked at them with caution and frustration.

"Can I go away?" Ignavros said, not at all pleased, but also without the courage to show much anger toward Madara.

"I want you to stay here. I'll need you to help me with something." Madara spoke calmly, while the dragon looked at him, raising one of his eyes.

"What do you want with me?" Ignavros clenched his teeth, seeming to lose all his pride.

"It's simple. I want you to help me with a few things in the coming days. I want you to sleep here tonight, we will talk tomorrow. Do not try to flee or attack us, otherwise you will regret it deeply." Madara threatened once again, making the dragon feel fear, despite being full of frustration and shame inside at having a human ordering him around.

Madara then made hand seals and summoned Totó again to sleep there, since he was on the continent and it could be dangerous for him.

The griffin glared at the dragon, not liking him at all, roaring angrily with his eagle beak. Back the first time they had met, the green dragon had tried to devour them in the sky in the northern mountains.

The green dragon only snorted, but ended up shaking his head in resignation and went to lie down. Madara headed toward the house along with the girls, while placing Eleanor in a spacious room, expanding the house with wood jutsu and taking a bed for her from the storage scroll.

"Aren't you going to warn Geralt and Yennefer about us? The others must be quite worried." Ciri said, while they prepared to sleep in another room.

"While you were removing your armor and putting on your nightgown, I already sent a clone." Madara replied casually, making Ciri smile.

"Well, we can enjoy this night, can't we? We no longer have any Vilgefortz to bother us." She said, returning to a more sensual tone.

Madara accepted what she was suggesting, taking off his clothes as well.

The clone advanced toward the castle, reaching it after a few minutes running at high speed, like a ninja.

Without any surprise, he found Geralt outside the castle, pacing back and forth restlessly, with Yennefer and Mousesack also nearby watching Geralt, though their expressions were also filled with concern.

Madara landed in front of them, quickly alerting the group.

"You're finally here!" Yennefer said with a tone full of satisfaction.

"Yes, I imagine you were worried." He spoke calmly.

"Where is Ciri? Why did you take so long? You left when it was getting dark and now it's already dawn, almost morning." Geralt said in a displeased tone, immediately looking for Ciri behind Madara, but no one else appeared.

"I am only a clone. My original and Ciri are sleeping together in that cabin in the middle of the forest that we built a few days ago. But we are fine. Vilgefortz was killed many hours ago, he is no longer a problem. We took so long because we had to return from the continent flying." The clone explained.

"From the continent? What happened?" Geralt asked, stunned, while Madara began to explain that he had teleported through a stone Vilgefortz had tried to use to escape, wanting to see where the laboratory was so he could later locate it.

"Well, it seems Vilgefortz, who was the head of this whole mess, is dead. That's a relief, don't you think?" Mousesack said with a smile on his face.

"And things here, how are they?" Madara asked.

"You could say we had to deal with some servants and guards working for those sorcerers, along with a few more men hired to cause chaos at the wedding banquet. King Bran was not at all pleased with that. We immediately began hunting them down, one by one, after we managed to identify who had brought the liquid from the tribe of the Sea Men." Said the druid.

"So we don't have anything else to worry about, then?" Madara asked.

"No, there won't be any more problems with an attack coming from Vilgefortz's orders. We just have to catch a few more stray rats, but I will handle that myself. However, there is another problem."

"Go on." Madara said, already knowing he was about to hear something unpleasant.

"Well, you won't be surprised... On the contrary, I value more caution for this wedding, Madara. All the greatest forces of the continent will be coming here, sending mages and representatives. They will likely try to approach spies, deceive you, probe you." It was Yennefer who said this, with a certain disgust. "Tonight I received a communication through Tissaia's magic telescope, informing me that several sorceresses were already on their way to Skellige."

"Well, that's no surprise." Madara shrugged, obviously calm. "When I publicly said I would marry Princess Ciri, it was natural that they would come seeking information about us. Even more so now, with the news that we were on the continent."

"There's nothing we can do about that. So we'll just try to prevent an invasion of people with bad intentions. I don't like having to kill someone on my wedding day. They say it brings bad luck to a man." Madara said.

"Anyway, now Geralt can finally rest. He absolutely didn't want to go to his room until he was sure Ciri was safe." Yennefer said.

"Tomorrow morning we will return to the castle. Is there anything else I need to know?" Madara asked.

"No, we have already informed you of everything we wanted." Mousesack said, while Madara nodded.

"I'm going then. Farewell." With that, the clone began to dissolve, making the original Madara open his eyes, blinking a little, while embracing Ciri's naked body as he was having sex with her.

"Something wrong?" She asked with a moan before he shook his head.

"Nothing." He said, turning her over while continuing to have sex with her.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in Skellige, in Undvik, on the same beach where Madara and Ciri had been before leaving the island, a portal began to emerge in the middle of that dawn, glowing white. Soon after, four more portals opened beside the first one, at the same time a low temperature spread through the air along with a mist. Growling creatures began to walk within the fog, resembling dogs full of ice spikes, while men in black armor appeared behind them.

The Wild Hunt patrolled the beach, while a soldier three meters tall stomped firmly until he reached near the seashore. He touched the ground with some footprints running toward the beach and passed the sand over his fingers as if he were thinking about something.

Then his gaze turned forward, able to see the vast island in the distance, and his elven eyes glowed between the holes of his skeletal helmet.

The next morning, back at the lake, Ciri had left the cabin to gather some ingredients and prepare breakfast. She went to Totó, who was near the dragon, drinking water. The griffin flapped its wings and didn't seem to care about her.

"You could be cuter, you know?" She complained, talking to the griffin, while it continued drinking and ignoring her.

Suddenly, she heard a sound behind her. The dragon, which had been lying down until then, raised its head and stared at her.

"You can speak our language, can't you?" She asked, while the dragon stared at her for a few seconds before snorting and turning its head away.

"Hey, I'm talking to you!" She complained, but the dragon didn't care. He was angry at that human too. After all, she clearly had a relationship with the man who had 'enslaved' him.

Besides that, he had fought against them on the night he signed that paper of the human with his blood and name, and Ignavros and his companion discovered that they could not defeat another human besides Madara. The fact that Madara, whom he already hated for the humiliation in the Valley of Dragons, was hard to swallow, and now being faced with another human skilled enough to face two dragons and survive did not make things any less irritating to his pride.

Ciri, however, did not seem willing to give up, even seeing that the dragon did not want to talk to her.

"Hey, at least tell me your name. I am Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, but you can call me Ciri. You know... I never imagined I would see a dragon before, until meeting you in person. My grandmother had never seen a dragon, she used to say they were only legends and children's tales. But you are quite interesting and majestic." Ciri kept talking, even though the dragon ignored her. She chattered nonstop, until he, little by little, seemed to awaken some interest in listening to her compliments, turning his head in her direction.

"Well, it seems your grandmother didn't have the chance to see something as majestic as me." He said, with his pride rising.

That immediately made Ciri smile. "Of course not! So... what's your name?" She asked, excited.

"I am Ignavros, a 50-year-old dragon." He said dryly. At least, this human wanted to know his name. The other didn't even care.

"Nice to meet you, Ignavros. How about we be friends? Since you are Madara's summon..." Ciri grew excited with the idea of being friends with a dragon.

The dragon stared at her for a moment, clearly not finding that very pleasant, but maybe she could help him get out of his predicament.

"Alright... as long as you tell me how to cancel this contract." Ignavros said, trying to find a way out of his situation.

"Get out of the summoning contract?" Ciri thought. "Well... that's only with Madara." She answered, since she didn't understand much about chakra and the abilities Madara used.

"Can't you try anything? Aren't you his mating female?" Asked the dragon, making Ciri widen her eyes at being treated that way, before snorting and starting to laugh, bursting into laughter.

"Mating female? I had never heard something like that... That's funny. But, in a way, yes, I am his future wife. We are getting married tomorrow." She said in a playful tone, while the dragon only snorted.

"Try to get me out of this situation and I will always be your friend." Said the dragon, almost in desperation.

Ciri looked at him suspiciously, but shook her head. "Sorry, I can't do anything about that. It's up to Madara. Anyway, I'm gathering some things. It was a pleasure meeting you, Ignavros." She said, going back to picking herbs from the ground, while the dragon sighed in frustration, watching the human walk away.

Ciri gathered everything she needed and returned to the cabin. Madara was preparing breakfast, and Eleanor was setting the table. They ate calmly.

"So, Eleanor, are you coming to our wedding?" Ciri asked, beside Madara, at the table.

"Well... I believe going to a dinner is one thing, but the wedding seems a little harder, even for me." She said.

"Not if we allow it..." Madara replied, making her realize she was receiving a direct invitation.

In the end, Eleanor told Ciri that she would go, but she would need to split her time, since she first had to go to the castle to explain the situation to Geralt and Yennefer.

"Madara, are you going to do something that requires the dragon?" Ciri asked, but he only gave a smile.

"It's a secret." He replied.

Knowing he was going to do something, she didn't question much, despite her curiosity. She suspected it had to do with the honeymoon, since they hadn't planned anything yet. With that, she disappeared together with the vampire in a green glow, and Madara went to the dragon, while the latter did not like the Uchiha's gaze on him one bit.
