Zack could be seen pacing around his office, he was fuming with anger at the events that had taken place.
He couldn't help the anger, he punched the wall beside him to release all the anger he felt.
There was a knock on the door and without waiting for answer Stephen( the Beta) walked in.
"Get out." Prince Zack barked.
" I just wanted to make sure you are okay." Stephen replied.
"Just leave me alone, GET OUT." Prince Zack barked again, the Beta quickly left the office.
Prince Zack sat on his office chair, with his back turned to the door.
There was a second knock on the door, Prince Zack let out a loud hissed as he heard the person walk in.
" What part of I want to be alone is difficult to understand" He turned to face the person and his countenance changed immediately.
He stared at the lady standing in front of him, it was the same lady from before whose words had disarm his wolf, and she is standing in his office with arms akimbo looking at him with the most beautiful smile he has ever seen, what else could be wrong with today? He thought to himself silently.
"May I sit?" She smiled pointing to the empty seat opposite him and he nodded subconsciously, he gave himself a mental slap, why does he keep letting down his guard when this woman is involved, he hasn't even known her for more than two minutes.
" I know you might be wondering why I'm here after the events that took place earlier." She looked at him with the most charming eyes ever, he gets it she's dangerously beautiful but can his wolf read the mood?
"I heard you ended things with your mate some days ago so you could get married to our Alpha's Mate." Princess Isadora teased him and all he could do was stare at him, not for loss of words but because he couldn't trust his wolf around her.
" Are you so angry, you won't say anything to me? Well, I came here to discuss something important but I'll take my leave as this doesn't seem like the right time.
" Do you have a mate?" Prince Zack blurted out before he could stop himself, he regretted the statement the moment he said it out loud.
" What do you think this is? A bridal exchange? So I'm supposed to be your mate now that my Alpha has taken your forcefully almost wedded mate?" She burst out into laughter that caught Prince Zack off guard, he looked at her, examining her this time. He has never heard anyone laugh that hard before, she seemed to really find what he said amusingly stupid because she wouldn't stop laughing. For the first time since meeting her he noticed she had long wavy silver hair, the curls on the side of her face flowed forward whenever she laughed, in a way that makes him instinctively want to tug them behind her ears, he resisted the urge because he knew it would not end well.
"Wait, was that a serious question?" She asked with a straight face this time, she cleaned the tears from her eyes and tried pulling the hairs from her cheek, he couldn't resist it this time, he leaned over to help with the hair but she beat him to it and he had to lean back.
"Yes, I am just curious that's all." Prince Zack said trying to sound serious.
"I don't owe you an explanation" Princess Isadora stood up, smiled at him and walked out gracefully.
It took him a while to recover from what just transpired between him and the Princess, he didn't even get her name, he couldn't get her out of his head, there was something about her that keeps him cultured anytime she's close to him, he needs to find that out.
***Hera's quarter***
Princess Sylvia had whisked Hera out of the hall and back to her private quarters, locking the door and sealing the windows against any eavesdropping.
"A Mate!" Princess Sylvia breathed, sinking onto her couch, a genuine smile finally breaking through her stress.
"He's magnificent! And a Lycan Alpha! This is the miracle we needed."
" I know right, I didn't even think twice, immediately I felt that mate presence, I swear I couldn't care less" Hera said
