*** Hera's Quarter ***
" I'm serious I was just happy to get away from Zack." Hera said.
" I was so excited when I heard the word Mate, oh you are so lucky, I haven't seen a man that handsome before and I don't think it legal for someone to be that good looking" Princess Sylvia said more to herself than to Hera.
"I really didn't even notice that, there was something blinding about him, I couldn't focus and moreover I was more concerned about getting away from Zack." Hera replied.
"You are just being shy, how could you say you didn't notice that man that made time stand still just by being. I find that hard to believe but I'll excuse you because it was a traumatic event." Princess Sylvia smiled at her friend.
" I'm more concerned about the next few days, I'm glad we were able to buy time, I don't know what I would have done otherwise." Hera said
"I'm also glad it's all over now, I mean not all over but the major part is over. Seriously though, you didn't get a good look at your mate?" Princess Sylvia asked and when Hera shook her head negatively, she continued.
" Well, that explains your lack of excitement, I've never met a man that handsome, I still strongly believe there is no man alive that is that handsome." Princess Sylvia said dreamily.
Hera looked at her friend and laughed.
" I would have gladly given him to you but you have your mate and that's my ticket to escaping the Hell Lord called Zack."
"That's a shame… you are lucky I really really do love Micheal." Princess Sylvia pouted.
" Talking about Micheal is the Banquet over, the whole place suddenly got quiet." Hera said.
" I don't know, maybe." Princess Sylvia replied.
***Prince Zack's Office ***
"Has the banquet ended?" Prince Zack asked Micheal.
" Yes, it has. The guests has been shown to their assigned Quarters." Micheal replied.
"And Hera?" Prince Zack asked.
" She is currently in her room with Princess Sylvia." Micheal replied.
"Alright, thank you Micheal. One more thing, make sure Hera's quarter is very well guarded, I don't want any funny business." Prince Zack said and Micheal nodded.
" Call me the Beta on your way out." Prince Zack said and Micheal nodded again before leaving the office.
The office door opened few minutes after Micheal left and Beta Stephen entered.
" I would have been here much earlier but I had to make sure the banquet ended well and the guests settled in comfortably." Beta Stephen explained.
"Talking about the Banquet, how did it go?" Prince Zack asked.
" It went well, though the guests were all disturbed by the preceding event and most of them didn't like that you were not there." Beta Stephen explained.
" I will see them again tomorrow, please tell the Palace Chef to prepare for a mini feast with the Alphas in the morning." Prince Zack replied.
" Alright, I'll tell them to." Beta Stephen said as he sat down opposite the prince.
" I truly don't know what to do?" Prince Zack said.
" Does it really have to be Hera. I know she is beautiful, if not the most beautiful woman to ever walk this palace, I'm just saying can't you let her go?" Beta Stephen asked.
" Up until few hours ago , yes. You know how much I have wanted her since the first day she was brought back by my dad. That aside, where did that pack come from, they usually don't attend Public Events and now they are here claiming Hera is their Luna." Prince Zack let out a frustrated sigh.
"I was equally surprised to see them and more surprised when I heard their Alpha call Hera mate, wait, what do you mean up until few hours ago, are you going back to your mate?" Beta Stephen asked.
" I'm not sure what it is exactly nor why, but there is a shift in my wolf, I no longer pine desperately for Hera, I feel this tamed energy and I don't like it. I don't know if it's part of her power or charm but I have to figure it out." Prince Zack explained.
" I'm guessing by Her, you mean their park's Princess." When Prince Zack didn't answer, Beta Stephen Continued.
"I did notice the shift in your resolve when she spoke, I thought it was just me thinking it. What are you going to do now?"
" I don't know, I'll figure something out I guess." Prince Zack said.
" You should. It's going to be a long day tomorrow, as I already announced that your coronation as the Pack's Alpha will take place tomorrow." Beta Stephen stood up as he spoke.
" You did what?" Prince Zack asked confused.
" You have to prove to these Alphas that you are not weak and will not hide at the face of problems, the coronation will happen without the Luna and we will find a way to turn it around so it will be in our favour." Beta Stephen replied and Prince Zack simply nodded.
" You need to get enough sleep, tomorrow will be a very long and trying day. You will have to face the SilverBorn Packs and the other Alphas, coupled with the coronation process it's going to be a long day." Beta Stephen advised.
Prince Zack stood up to and Beta Stephen held the door open for him.
" Good night Stephen." Prince Zack said as he was about entering his quarter.
" Good night, Alpha. One last thing before we call it a night, Selene has left the pack this morning, she insisted on leaving because she couldn't bear watching you get married to someone else and we let her since you had also asked her to leave." Beta Stephen said.
" You've always had a soft spot for Selene. She is the least of my problems anyway, it's a good thing she got the memo and left. Good night, Stephen.Prince Zack smiled at his Beta.
" Good night, Alpha." Beta Stephen replied as he watched the prince enter his quarter.
