"Ahhh!"
Amidst terrified screams, gunshots rang out incessantly, the spewing tongues of fire almost illuminating the dim space.
But in the next second, those pitiful flashes were utterly swallowed by blue flames.
"Hah!"
Watching the guards retreat in terror, Gwen tilted her head and vanished from her spot, flashing past them like a wisp of ghostly blue fire.
Instantly, the gunfire ceased.
Gwen turned to look at the cages. Seeing that the brief skirmish hadn't elicited any reaction from the prisoners, the anger in her heart burned even hotter.
Looking up at the surveillance camera in the corner, Gwen raised a middle finger wreathed in flames. She then charged toward the opposite bulkhead. Upon pressing her hand against it, the wall—forged from rigid steel—melted like a pat of butter, forming a large hole.
Gwen strode through, watching the guards rushing forward and the imprisoned "merchandise." Blue flames surged forth once again.
"Dammit! What is that thing?"
The guard monitoring the surveillance feeds shouted, pressing his communicator to report to his captain.
Upon receiving the news, the captain led his men to intercept Gwen while simultaneously reporting the situation to the boss.
Faced with this situation, his boss merely said indifferently, "Get rid of that thing. Don't let it scare our guests tonight."
"Oh, right. If you can, capture it. It might make a decent auction item."
"Yes, Boss."
The guard captain responded flatly, then pressed his communicator. "All superpowered individuals, except those guarding the Boss, follow me."
As he spoke, he took out his phone, tapped the screen to bring up the live surveillance feed, and felt a jolt of shock as he watched the advancing blue-flamed skeleton.
What is this thing?
A demon? Or a transformed superpowered individual?
Whatever it is, it definitely won't be easy to deal with...
Seeing the metal melting rapidly under the flames, a flicker of astonishment crossed his eyes.
Even through the screen, he could almost feel the temperature of those flames. Compared to the flames of his team member who had awakened fire abilities, this terrifying fire was on a completely different level—like heaven and earth.
Meanwhile, Gwen's advance was unstoppable.
The ordinary guards watching the cages were no match for her. If one were watching on the surveillance screens, they would see a ball of blue fire, as if blown by the wind, passing through screen after screen at incredible speed.
But at this moment, Gwen was incredibly angry.
One, two, three...
The amount of "merchandise" here exceeded her imagination.
What made her anxious was that she had no way to rescue these people who were controlled by drugs.
After passing through several compartments where "merchandise" was held, and after melting through yet another wall, she emerged onto the deck.
"Hmm?"
Looking at the dozens of guards blocking her path with various weapons, Gwen grinned.
Things were finally getting interesting.
She could finally vent the anger in her heart.
"Attack!"
Accompanying a roar, several portable missiles flew from their launchers, dragging tails of flame as they sped toward Gwen.
Gwen grinned, her skeletal mouth opening wide. Blue flames surged out like a tidal wave, colliding violently with the incoming missiles.
Boom! Boom!
Amidst the intense explosions, orange-red flames entangled with the shockwaves and blue fire. But this lasted less than three seconds before the orange-red that filled her vision was completely devoured by the blue flames.
"Hah!"
Gwen revealed a slightly crazed smile.
From the moment she saw Sally, she had been constantly stimulated by what she witnessed, sparking flames of anger in her heart. As she boarded this ship and saw so many of her own kind locked in cages like chickens and ducks, awaiting sale, a wave of empathetic rage rose within her.
These captured people—their families were suffering torment. How many homes had been shattered because of the trade here...
Just thinking about this made the anger in her heart almost uncontrollable.
Home was sacred to her, yet these damned bastards had defiled it.
These angry emotions accumulated in Gwen's heart, and then, in this moment, detonated with a bang.
The madness of the Spirit of Vengeance influenced Gwen. The burning Hellfire grew hotter with her rage, and Gwen became increasingly manic.
Whoosh!
A missile flew from behind Gwen, accompanied by a sonic boom.
Gwen shifted her feet. As the missile flew past her, she reached out and grabbed it. Blue flames instantly completed its demonization.
Turning her palm, she aimed it at the guards, then grinned and released the missile.
Whoosh!
The demonized missile, trailing blue tail flames, flew in front of the guards in the blink of an eye.
Terror surfaced in the guards' eyes. Just as they thought they would be blown to pieces, the air in front of them began to distort, placed before them like a wall.
Boom!
Amidst the fierce explosion, the wall formed by the force field shattered, but in the next second, two more force field energy walls appeared, blocking the blast and protecting the other guards.
"Such power. Can you even enhance the power of missiles?"
Accompanying an exclamation of amazement, a man with hair dyed in multiple colors walked out. With him were six other people.
Seven people in total—five men and two women. The leader was the captain of the guard on this ship.
"You guys stand down. Leave this to us."
The guard captain spoke coldly, leading his squad members to surround Gwen on the deck.
In a battle of this level, ordinary guards were useless. Even with weapons, judging by the scene just now, they posed no threat to the opponent.
Gwen stood quietly in place, ignoring the ordinary guards. With a gaze that seemed capable of igniting souls, she looked at the people in front of her and asked slowly, "Why are you doing this?"
"Doing what? You mean buying and selling these goods?" The multi-colored haired man with force field abilities looked at Gwen mockingly. "Why? For money, of course. With money and power, I can do whatever I want."
"How about it? Do you want to join?"
"Colorful Hair" looked at Gwen teasingly.
Gwen pointed at her feet and said indifferently, "How about it? Do you want to go down to hell and take a look?"
She tore off the chains wrapped around her upper body. With a forceful grip of her palm, Hellfire ignited the chains.
Seeing this, the members of the guard squad revealed sinister smiles.
The guard captain said coldly, "Attack!"
As his voice fell and the Hellfire-burning chains flew toward them, the guard captain reached out his hand and shouted in a low voice, "Gravity!"
In the next second, an invisible force suddenly appeared, landing on the flying chains and Gwen.
Clatter!
The flying chains fell straight to the ground as if pulled by a hand. Gwen felt her body sink, as if an invisible mountain were pressing down on her. She stumbled and nearly fell to the ground.
"Urgh!"
She struggled to support her body. Every bone in her body made creaking sounds, and two footprints slowly appeared on the ground beneath her feet.
Seeing this, a flash of surprise crossed the guard captain's eyes.
"She can actually withstand it?"
Colorful Hair cried out in surprise, making the guard captain's eyelid twitch.
This bastard always steals my lines.
"Captain, did you use your full strength?"
Colorful Hair looked at his captain in confusion.
"Hmph!"
The captain snorted coldly, and the gravity on Gwen doubled.
Gwen bent over, then quickly straightened up again, though the deck beneath her feet had already caved in.
Bending her body slightly, she pushed off the ground with both feet. Leaving a footprint behind, she charged toward the guard captain with incredible speed.
The guard captain's pupils contracted. Activating his ability fully, Gwen's speed instantly slowed.
He had originally wanted to capture this burning skeleton alive to sell to the boss for a large sum of money, but now it seemed impossible.
The opponent was too strong. If he held back, he might accidentally get killed.
"Everyone attack."
The guard captain said, looking at the others.
"Pain!"
A woman chuckled lightly, her eyes flickering. Mental pain instantly descended upon Gwen, causing the already slowed Gwen to freeze in place.
Subsequently, a fire dragon roared and pounced on Gwen, swallowing her whole.
Immediately after, walls formed by energy force fields appeared, sealing Gwen inside. The air suddenly churned and exploded like a bomb, blasting the space enclosed by the force field into chaos.
"Hah! What do you think this thing that's already a skeleton will turn into when it dies? Will it just turn directly into ash?"
Colorful Hair grinned, looking at the other two who hadn't acted, a trace of disdain flashing in his eyes.
Those two had melee abilities; he looked down on warriors and meat shields the most.
The air bombs and flames continued to churn, but Gwen, enclosed within the energy force field, made no movement.
Meanwhile, in the sky above the cruise ship.
Mike hovered in mid-air, looking at Odin and the Ancient One who had suddenly appeared in front of him. puzzled, he asked, "Why are you here?"
He had been here for a while but hadn't gone down, instead hovering in the air to watch Gwen's performance.
He had originally planned not to intervene if Gwen's operation went smoothly.
"Just came to take a look."
Odin said with a smile, looking down.
"That's your daughter? The little one is quite impressive!"
Odin couldn't help but praise.
The Ancient One nodded. "Her control over the Spirit of Vengeance is not bad."
Not going berserk in this state was truly rare.
Mike looked at the two of them, laughing and crying at the same time. "I say, are you two really so bored that you came to watch children fight?"
"Well, we're free today anyway."
Odin mumbled, then said with interest, "How about it? Should I lend a hand?"
"Don't!" Mike said speechlessly. "You, the God King of Asgard, have the nerve to intervene?"
The Ancient One looked at Gwen and suddenly said, "She is suppressing the ability's power."
With the Spirit of Vengeance plus a portion of Mephisto's power, Gwen was definitely not someone these small fries could stop.
"I'll go talk to the little one."
Mike said with a smile and vanished from before their eyes.
In the next second, accompanied by a thunderous sound, Mike fell straight from the high sky like a meteor, smashing directly into the force field wall. As it shattered instantly, the accompanying gale blew the burning flames away in a flash.
The sudden scene left the members of the guard squad shocked and angry.
"Who are you?"
Colorful Hair shouted.
At this moment, Mike hadn't removed his disguise, so these people didn't recognize him.
Mike ignored the other party's shouting. Instead, with a smile on his face, he looked quietly at Gwen.
Gwen asked in confusion, "Dad, why are you here?"
"Did Peter and the others tell you?"
Mike couldn't help but laugh, flicking Gwen's forehead. "If I didn't come, how long did you plan to take a beating like this?"
Gwen grimaced aggrievedly, a few wisps of flame escaping from her mouth.
"Don't be afraid!" Mike patted Gwen's head and said, "I'm here. I know you can do it."
Gwen hesitated slightly, but then nodded.
This was her first time doing this.
"Lock onto the evil and carry out the judgment."
Mike said indifferently to Gwen.
"I understand."
Gwen responded with a smile.
With her father here, she felt confident.
On the other side, the members of the guard squad were breaking out in cold sweat.
Since Mike appeared, their attacks hadn't stopped, but these two didn't care at all. They just stood there taking it, and were even... chatting?
Can you show us some respect?
Colorful Hair screamed internally.
Just then, a massive amount of Hellfire surged from Gwen, completely enveloping her. Gwen began to sense the people on this cruise ship who were steeped in sin.
"Penance Stare!"
Accompanying Gwen's low shout, those with heavy sins seemed to see a pair of burning eyes appear in their minds.
Their souls began to burn. The pain they had inflicted on others now appeared entirely within their own souls.
"Ahhh!"
The members of the guard squad began to scream miserably.
Seeing that they were about to faint from the pain, Mike's voice rang out again.
"Gwen, that's enough. No need to continue."
If she continued, it would be a question of how many of these judged people would survive.
Mike feared that Gwen would feel bad when she thought back on it later.
Gwen nodded and retracted her ability.
A card appeared at Mike's fingertips.
As the card vanished, invisible psychic power enveloped the entire cruise ship.
At this moment, the people beside Gwen had already fainted. As for the rest...
With a thought from Mike, everyone fell into a deep sleep.
"Let's go."
"What about those people? The ones captured here? How do we take them with us?"
Gwen asked in confusion.
"Gwen, you still don't understand."
"What?"
"We just solve the problem. The cleanup is for the police and the government to do."
Mike winked at Gwen and said, "Just give them a call, or notify the Avengers directly, and the people here will be rescued."
"Or, you could notify Fury and let him send someone to handle things here. It could even brush up some good will for Planet Kent."
"Don't forget, you are the Princess of Planet Kent."
