After a few minutes of walking, we got to a spot farther from the outpost. There was nothing there but beach sand and a few trees, but something strange happened. We could see ahead, and we could see the path that led forward, but it was like there was an invisible wall in front of us, blocking our path.
"Oi, Faceless Knight, we're 'ere. Get us in, will ya?" said Serena in a rather loud tone.
"Is someone there?"
I asked.
"Not 'ere, but he can see us, and he's the bloke responsible for this barrier."
It seemed this weird phenomenon was the product of someone else's abilities. I began to wonder who this Faceless Knight of hers was, and then I immediately made a connection. There was only one person I knew who fit the bill if the description was a faceless knight.
"Is the person, perhaps, Sir Briar?" I asked.
"Ding, ding, ding! I knew you'd already know him. It's not easy ta forget the guy once you've caught a glimpse," she said, smiling as she clapped me on the back.
