I woke up to the warm sunlight streaming into our cave, and I couldn't help but stretch my wings and yawn widely. Lyriath was still lost in thought, staring out at the cave entrance, so I nudged him gently.
"Hey, Lyriath! Wake up!" I whispered, trying to contain my excitement. "Father's already up and about. I think he's planning something."
Lyriath blinked, his gaze snapping back to reality. He rose to his feet, his scales rustling against the stone floor. "What do you think it is?" he asked, his voice low and curious.
I grinned, my eyes sparkling. "Let's go find out!" As we emerged from the cave, I spotted Father standing on the ledge, his wings spread wide, drinking in the morning sun. He turned to us, a hint of a smile on his face.
"Ah, my young hatchlings! Today, we're going on a journey. A journey to explore the ancient ruins that lie hidden in the mountains."
Lyriath's eyes widened, his wings fluttering with excitement. "The ancient ruins? But aren't they supposed to be dangerous?"
Father chuckled, his voice rumbling through the air. "A little danger is just what you need to spice up your lives. Besides, I'll be with you every step of the way." I whooped, my fire spear appearing in my claws. "Let's go! I'm ready for adventure!"
Father smiled, his eyes twinkling. "Then let's gear up, my young dragons. We have ruins to explore!"
I got up and got ready to go outside when I saw a bright orange light in one part of the forest, and I called out Father, "Father! There is a bright light over there!" Father came and saw it too, and we flew towards there to investigate and saw Kaidorix and burning trees.
Kaidorix looks at us and smiles and says nothing is bad happened "hello big brothers and father, good morning!" He paused for a second and lowered his head and say "it didn't mean too! I experiment with my earth elements and make Flint and Steel accidentally light the tree on fire! I'm so sorry!"
Father sighed and looked at Lyriath and asked him, "Do you want to put out the fire or me?" Lyriath answered with a puff of his chest. "I'll use my water elements!"
Lyriath took a step forward, his scales glimmering with a soft blue tint as he prepared to unleash his water element. With a swift motion, a wave of water burst from his claws, dousing the flames that engulfed the trees. The fire hissed and sputtered, sending up a cloud of steam as it was extinguished.
Kaidorix watched with a mix of relief and admiration, his eyes wide with curiosity. "Wow, Lyriath! Your water element is so cool!"
Father nodded, a low rumble of approval in his throat. "Well done, Lyriath. Kaidorix, let's get you back to the cave and work on controlling those earth elements, hmm?"
Kaidorix nodded, his head bobbing up and down. "Yes, Father... I'll be more careful next time, promise!" I grinned, nud, my fire spear at the ready. "Can I help with the earth element lesson, Father?"
Father turned to me, a hint of a smile on his face. "Actually, Tharros, I think it's a great idea. Let's work together to help Kaidorix master his elements."
I nodded and looked at Kaidorix, who seemed in deep regret, and Kaidorix requested us to saying "Guys, will you promise not to tell Lyrixa that I accidentally burn a forest? I don't want her to calm me an idiot or a dumy again!"
I looked at Kaidorix, seeing the pleading in his eyes, and couldn't help but chuckle. "Haha, okay, little bro. We won't tell Lyrixa. But you owe us one, deal?"
Lyriath nodded in agreement, a sly grin spreading across his face. "Deal. But you have to teach me how to make those Flint and Steel sparks sometime."
Kaidorix's face lit up with relief, and he let out a sigh. "Deal! I'll show you how to do it, Lyriath. Just... don't tell Lyrixa, okay?"
Father chuckled, a low rumble in his throat. "Alright, let's head back to the cave and get some breakfast. We can work on those earth elements later, Kaidorix."
As we flew back, Kaidorix whispered to me, "Thanks, Tharros. I owe you one." I grinned, nudging him with my wing. "Just don't burn down the cave, okay?"
Lyriath took a step forward, his dark scales glimmering with a hint of water magic. "I'll use my water elements to put out the fire." Kaidorix looked up, relieved. "Thanks, Lyriath..."
Father nodded, a low rumble of approval. "Well done, Lyriath. Kaidorix, let's get you back to the cave and work on controlling those earth elements, hmm?" Kaidorix nodded, his head bobbing up and down. "Yes, Father... I'll be more careful next time, promise!"
I grinned, nudging Kaidorix with my wing. "Hey, don't worry about it. We've all had our share of accidents. Right, Lyriath?" Lyriath chuckled, a low, rumbling sound. "Yeah, like that time you tried to fly through the waterfall..."
Kaidorix's face turned bright red, and he looked away, trying to hide his embarrassment.
I leaned in, a mischievous gl sparkle in my eye. "Hehe, and don't forget the time you got stuck in the mud pit..." Lyriath burst out laughing, his wings shaking with amusement. "Oh man, that was priceless!"
Kaidorix glared at us, his embarrassment turning into mock annoyance. "Hey, enough teasing, you two!"
Lyriath loom away and mumbled, "And that time a couple of years ago that you burn me alive and ruin my navy-blue scales!" Tharros yelled out,"I HAVE ALREADY APOLOGIZED THAT AND IT WAS JUST MY ANGER AND I THOUGHT YOU ALREADY FORGIVE ME!"
Lyriath pressed my snout using his paw and said, "I know that, and I am still a bit upset, alright, so help me dealing clean up the burn woods and trees for me! And Kaidorix, you fixed this mistake you made too!"
Kaidorix's eyes widened in alarm as he realized the tables had turned. "Uh, okay... I'll help clean up, Lyriath..." I scrolled my eyes, "Ugh, Lyriath, come on! Can't you just let it go already?"
Lyriath's expression turned stern, his dark scales seeming to absorb the light around him. "No, Tharros. You still owe me for that. And Kaidorix needs to learn the consequences of his actions."
Father intervened, his voice calm and authoritative. "Alright, children. Let's focus on cleaning up the mess. Tharros, help Kaidorix with the trees. Lyriath, take care of the underbrush." I sighed, knowing I was outnumbered. "Fine... Let's get this over with."
Kaidorix and I flew off to start clearing the damaged trees, the scent of char and ash filling the air. As we worked, he whispered to me, "Hey, Tharros... think Lyriath's ever going to forgive me for the burn thing?" I chuckled, a low rumble in my throat. "Who knows, little bro? But you definitely owe him one."
Later, after half an hour of cleaning, the forest is clean by removing everything that are burn and Father look at Kaidorix and said "you should go and fly back to the cave now me and your mother will talk to you when me and Tharros and Lyriath go an adventure!" Kaidorix nodded and spread his wings and fly off.
Father watched Kaidorix disappear into the distance, his expression thoughtful. He turned to us, a hint of a smile on his face. "Alright, boys. Time for our adventure. Are you ready?"
Lyriath's eyes sparkled with anticipation, his dark scales shimmering in the sunlight. "Where are we going, Father?" I grinned, my fire spear at the ready. "Yeah, what's the plan?"
Father's smile grew wider. "We'll be tracking a rare herb, one that's said to have powerful healing properties. It's hidden deep in the mountains, and we'll need to be careful."
Lyriath's wings fluttered with excitement. "Sounds like a challenge!" I nodded, my heart racing with anticipation. "Let's do it." Father nodded, his eyes gleaming with approval. "Then let's move out. The mountains won't explore themselves."
We spread our wings and fly to the sky, and a few hours later, we arrived in the ocean, and we landed and father said "there is a ruin human city that have been abandoned for a whole century and it only about uhhhhh....." He looks around a bit and says, "1 km away from here if I'm not wrong."
Then i felt itchy a bit, and I asked Father, "uhhh, father, can I stay here a bit? You and Lyriath can go, and I stay here." Father, look at me and say, "OK, but be careful, " and they left.
I look at my surroundings after they leave and then use my back left leg to use to scratch my itchy neck and ears and didn't want everyone to see me doing it because it is too embarrassing.
After I was done scratching, i looked around and saw Lyriath grin face and father watching and then Lyriath said "OH so this is why you don't want to come is because you scratch like a dog or some kind of Caine!"
My face burned with embarrassment as I realized I hadn't been as sneaky as I thought. I glared at Lyriath, trying to save face. "Shut up, Lyriath! You don't know what you're talking about!"
Father's expression was a mix of amusement and scolding. "Tharros, you should've just told us you were feeling itchy. We wouldn't have minded."
I looked away, my scales flushing with embarrassment. "I...I didn't want to bother you, Father." Lyriath chuckled, a low, teasing sound. "Hehe, Tharros got caught scratching like a dog!"
I shot him a warning glance, but he just grinned wider. "You owe me one, Lyriath," I growled, trying to deflect attention from my embarrassing moment.
Father intervened, his voice firm but amused. "Alright, alright. Let's focus on the task at hand. Lyriath, let's go explore the ruins. Tharros, you can stay here and...compose yourself."
I nodded, still feeling a bit embarrassed, but relieved to be left alone. As they flew off, I let out a sigh and looked around, trying to shake off the awkwardness.
As they left for real, this time I looked at the ocean and saw something flicked in the ocean, and using my wings, i flew up and searched from above the water on what it was and I see a huge building that or at least a city like a lost city that hit by a float.
I zoom back and find Father and Lyriath and see them removing some broken human home, and then they saw me, and I fly done, and before I get to say anything Lyriath speak first "hello puppy dog!" I growled at him to shut up and look at Father.
Father's gaze turned towards the ocean, his eyes narrowing as he peered into the distance. "A lost city, you say? Lead the way, Tharros."
I nodded, turning to fly back over the water. As I flew, Lyriath's voice carried behind me, still teasing. "Puppy dog's got a new trick, Father!"
I growled, my scales prirling with irritation, but Father's warning glance silenced me. We flew over the waves, the salty spray misting my scales, until we reached the spot where I'd seen the city. And there it was - a sprawling metropolis, half-hidden in the darkness below the waves.
Father's breath hissed between his teeth. "This is no natural formation. This is a city, Tharros. A city of the Ancients, perhaps."
Lyriath's teasing forgotten, he peered down at the ruins, his eyes wide with wonder. "What secrets do you hold, old city?" he whispered.
Father flies towards the ocean, and we follow him, and he flies just above it and anezle it a bit and says, "Yes, it an old ancient city might be a few centuries ago but we can't go there because it covers in water and I be very honest I'm not a good swimmer and may be we should held back to the mountains cave again!"
Father's wings slowed, and he hovered above the waves, his gaze lingering on the submerged city. "It's been a long time since I've seen a city like this," he said, a hint of nostalgia in his voice. "But we can't just dive in there without proper preparation. The pressure alone could be deadly."
Lyriath and I exchanged a disappointed glance, but Father's words made sense. We weren't equipped for underwater exploration.
"Let's head back to the cave," Father decided. "We'll need to gather more information and gear up if we want to explore this city safely. And Tharros, stop grinning like that. I know you're eager, but safety comes first."
I looked away, trying to suppress my excitement. Lyriath, however, couldn't resist one last glance at the city. "What do you think is hidden down there, Father?"
Father's expression turned thoughtful. "Only one way to find out, Lyriath. Let's get back and plan our next move."
I look at Father and say, "But we can't swim Father," and Father looks at me and agrees and says, "may be in the future or the future generations will figure out to go there!"
Later, after we returned home, Father landed first and said, "I'm going to talk with Kaidorix and with your mother by my side to talk with him, and you 2 behave no fighting alright!" Me and Lyriath both nodded. Father smiled and walked away, leaving us alone, and we looked at each other.
I smiled and said, "So burn scales! What are you going to do?" Lyriath smiled back. "I don't know, puppy dog!"
Lyriath's grin was infectious, and I couldn't help but chuckle at the nickname. "Hey, watch it, burn scales!" I shot back, trying to sound tough.
We stood there for a moment, just looking at each other, before Lyriath spoke up. "You think Father's really gonna let us explore that city someday?" I shrugged. "Who knows? Maybe. But it'll be fun trying, right?"
Lyriath nodded, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Definitely. And I'll make sure you're right behind me when we do."
I laughed, knowing he was still teasing about the puppy dog thing. "Yeah, yeah. We'll see about that."
We stood there for a bit longer, enjoying the quiet moment together, before Lyriath spoke up again. "Hey, you wanna go check on Kaidorix? See if he's in trouble with Father?"
I grinned, knowing that was exactly what I wanted to do. "Race you there!" We both race there, but we bump into both Vyraxys and Kieraxys. I collapsed to the ground and yelp and got up and shook my head a bit.
Vyraxys and Kieraxys, my little brothers, looked up at me and Lyriath with big, curious eyes. "Whoa, Tharros! What happened?" Vyraxys asked, his voice full of concern. Kieraxys, on the other hand, just giggled. "Tharros fell down! Tharros fell down!"
I glared at Kieraxys, trying to look tough, but Lyriath just chuckled. "Looks like someone's got a case of dragon clumsiness," he teased.
I shot him a mock-angry look, then turned to Vyraxys. "We were just... uh... training. Yeah, that's it. Training." Vyraxys looked skeptical, but Kieraxys just kept giggling. "Tharros fell down! Hahaha!"
Lyriath intervened, scooping up Kieraxys in a playful swoop. "Hey, little guy, let's go find some food. I'm starving!"
The little dragons squealed with excitement, and the three of them took off, leaving me to shake my head and follow behind. "Hey, wait up!" I called out, laughing.
I spread my wings and followed them, and in a few minutes, I found them, and I landed and asked, "So what we going to hunt? Or at least what we are going to feed Father gluttonous himself like last time!"
Kieraxys laughs out loud, falls down on his side, laughing, and say "yeah father sometimes returned, getting himself fatter up and mother scolding him to overeating himself that part make me laugh!"
Lyriath chuckled, his scales shimmering with amusement. "Yeah, Father's got a weakness for those juicy mountain goats. Remember that time he ate three of them in one sitting?"
Vyraxys piped up, "And Mother was not happy! She said he was going to burst if he kept eating like that!"
Kieraxys was still giggling on the ground, his laughter infectious. I couldn't help but join in, imagining Father's guilty expression.
"What about we go for some fish instead?" Lyriath suggested, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "We can try to catch some of those big ones in the river."
I grinned, knowing Lyriath was up for an adventure. "Sounds like a plan. But if we get caught, I'm blaming you guys."
The little dragons cheered, and we set off towards the river, ready for a fun-filled afternoon of hunting and mischief.
I smiled and say "how about we go find something, and then we go back to Father!" They all agreed and spread out.
I walked for a bit to look some prey when I found some glowing objects it has a spherical shape with a white color, and I jab it, and then "Boooom" explodes, and I fly off from the explosion and knock out unconscious and everything went black.
I don't know how long I was knocked out, but later, i woke up by my father licking me, and I was all healed, and I looked around me and saw rainbows color goob.
I look up towards fatand ask, "What is that goob?" And mother appeared with and saw me ok and she walk towards me and say "are you okay Tharros?" I nodded, and she sat down beside us as Father continued to lick me.
Mother looked around and saw that rainbow goob and say, "OH dear, did you vomit that?" Father answered "yes I did, but as long as Tharros is okay and my hatchlings are okay, I'm fine!"
Mother, get up and say, "I'll get some herbs for your father alright, Tharros!" And she left
I looked at Father, concern etched on my face. "Father, are you really okay? That goop... it looked like it was hurting you."
Father chuckled, his scales rustling with amusement. "I'm fine, Tharros. Just a little... indigestion. Your mother will have me fixed up in no time."
Mother shot him a playful glance. "You should be more careful what you eat, dear. You're not as young as you used to be."
Lyriath and the others gathered around, relieved that I was okay. Vyraxys asked, "Tharros, what were those glowing things? They looked cool!"
I hesitated, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I...I thought they were prey. I didn't know they would explode."
Kieraxys giggled. "Tharros is a clumsy dragon!" Lyriath playfully nudged him, and they started arguing, but I knew they were just trying to lighten the mood.
Father, look at them and say, "You are better stop teasing your brother right now! And why are you hunting without me and your mother knowing?"
Lyriath lowered himself and explained, "we just going to a little hunting to gave you something to eat." Father now understood and sighed as he said."No need, i can feed myself!"
Then suddenly, mother returned, "Before you do that, eat this herbs. I got you after vomiting!" And Father, take it and chew it a bit and swallow them.
I look at my mother and ask, "What are those rainbow goop things? What are they?"
Mother answered in worried, "They are mana goob from your father, when a father dragon hatchling or offspring get serious injured their scales and eyes and some part of their body glow and flicked a rainbow color light and then they vomiting rainbow goob like this or a rainbow beam!" Mother, look at Father with a bit of worried."It also can make them know where their serious injured offspring is located, that how your father know you were in danger and where you were!"
My wolf-fox like ears lowered, and I asked, "Did Father go that did my injuries and me hit by an explosion cause him to experience that?" Mother let out a deep sighed and nodded "yes Tharos it usually causes them agony pain it usually at the heart and other part, but your father find you and heal you and that is good but if you died he will" mother pause a moment.
Father sighed and finished her word, "Or else I go berserk and lose control of myself and good things that didn't happen, Tharos." I whimpering in guilt, causing father pain.
Father's expression softened, and he wrapped a wing around me, pulling me close. "Tharros, it's not your fault. I'm just glad you're safe. The mana goob is a small price to pay for your safety."
Mother nodded in agreement. "Your father would do it a thousand times over, Tharros. You're his son, and he loves you."
I buried my face in Father's scales, feeling guilty and grateful at the same time. Lyriath and the others looked on, their expressions somber.
Father ruffled my scales, trying to lighten the mood. "Enough of this serious talk. Let's head back home and get some real food. I'm starving!"
Mother playfully rolled her eyes. "You just want to eat, dear." Father chuckled, his scales rustling with amusement. "Guilty as charged, my love."
Mother looks back, gets ready to hold back, and say "just don't eat a behemoth and goblin and many big monsters in just one meal! Or else you will get scolded by me again!"
Father's grin faltered for a moment, and he looked sheepishly at Mother. "Uh, I promise I'll be good, my love. No behemoths or goblins for me."
Mother raised an eyebrow, her scales glitching with amusement. "See that you don't. I mean it, dear."
The rest of us dragons exchanged a knowing look, and Lyriath whispered, "He's gonna try to sneak one in when she's not looking." I chuckled, earning a warning glance from Mother. "Tharros, behave."
Father just chuckled, his scales rustling with mirth. "I'll be on my best behavior, I swear." As we continued towards home, Father's stomach began to gumble again, and Mother shot him a warning glance. "Don't even think about it, dear."
Father sighed, his scales drooping slightly. "I can't help it, my love. I'm a growing dragon."
Kieraxys piped up, "Can we have fish for dinner, Mother? Pleeease?"
Mother smiled, her scales shimmering with amusement. "We'll see, little one. Let's get home first."
As we landed in the cave, Father's eyes scanned the surroundings, and he spotted a plush-looking mountain goat grazing near the entrance. His eyes lit up, and he whispered to Lyriath, "Psst, Lyriath... think you can distract Mother for a bit?" Lyriath grinned mischievously and nodded. "Leave it to me, Father."
As Lyriath and Mother began discussing the finer points of dragon cuisine, Father snatched the goat and devoured it in two swift bites. He looked up, guilty, just as Mother turned around. Her eyes widened, and she sighed. "I told you, dear..."
Father's scales flushed with embarrassment, and he looked down, his tail wagging sheepishly. Mother shook her head, laughing. "I think it's time for dinner. Let's eat."
