On his knees and with his spear still in his grasp, Kaelen struggled with regulating his breathing, his slowly regenerating third degree burns gnawing at him as though a colony of wasps had declared him a mortal enemy.

The sound of sizzling flesh directly below him beckoned him to lower his gaze, and as soon as he did, an eerily appetizing scent wafted into his nostrils.
"Huff... Huff! "
"Oh come on... You're still alive?"
His voice trembled just as his entire body did. No, not because of fear, but because he had reached his limit, he had pushed himself too far, wielding a power that was beyond his current level.
[Have I always been this reckless? Or is it because I know I have a regeneration skill?]
He wondered, the sizzling sound fading away along with the smoke rising from the large, High Orc below him.
[No... This is a Tower of Dread, at least this much is required if I am to make it out of here.]
