The days went by faster than Selene wanted them to, and before she knew it, the morning for the long-awaited departure had come. It was two days before the New Moon, just as they had planned as the day they would leave.
That morning, a blanket of silence fell over the whole River Pack. It was the first time in two decades that pack members would be able to leave the pack after the Dark War.
The same question was floating in everyone's head: how were they going to leave the pack when they were sealed in? Perhaps the same goddess that had helped seal them in would be the one to help them out again.
Or so they thought. The formation of soldiers, along with everyone who was going to leave, had gathered around at the gate of the pack, wearing River Pack heavy cloaks, about to head to the borders after saying goodbye to their family.
The Alpha family was present now and they were trying to bid farewell as well.
