I was stunned to hear what Basilio-sama had requested of us. Even Levi, one of my coworkers in the field of science (all branches of it). Pills…based on the Battle Pills of the church…? We were flabbergasted, and since we, ever since he had outlawed the practice of brutal experiments with non-Vamzoms, we had been doing mostly lowly experiments and non-brutal tests with chemicals in addition to being teachers in Nuevo Tacloban's academy.
So, we examined the Battle Pills that Fritzi-kun had brought from the church in Vatrene (their headquarters were in its capital city of Entramville) and did some tests to study their composition. The tests revealed complicated chemical formulas that make their consumers go wild and feral, making them effective but lethal to their users. Basilio and the others observed our tests. After the tests and writing our conclusions, Levi and I turned to our master and the others.
"Guys, the composition of these pills is a bit complex to recreate and change to make them safer," Levi said to them.
I nodded. "Yes, theoretically, we can recreate and remake them, but we need some time to make a lot of batches and conduct several tests to see their efficiency and worthy to be safe for consumption."
"Yes, we'll use healing potions for us when doing these tests," Levi added.
(We can do that when testing any chemical-based experiments for safety because of their unpredictable nature.)
Basilio then nodded. "Yes, we'll wait for the updates on it."
I saw that Fritzi was confident in his partially owned idea of new pills for battle.
And so, the other Vamzom scientists and I began our work on the new pills, mixing chemicals and various essences to recreate them first, then adding new components to make them safer for consumption. The first few days were full of mixing, remixing, and constant checking and rechecking our first few batches in liquid form.
