Storm's battered body tensed.
His mandibles clicked in irritation.
"I lost because I underestimated them," he snapped.
"You two are only winning because I burned through her resources.
If I hadn't, you'd be struggling just like I was."
"Sure, sure," Earth said.
His voice sounded flat and skeptical.
"Whatever helps you sleep, Storm."
He clearly did not believe him.
Storm's injuries and his weakened state did not match his claim.
Earth did not accept that one individual could have done that alone.
When they arrived, Storm had no forces left.
The enemy still had many standing.
Earth did not need to say anything.
The battlefield already showed the truth.
The first volley of arrows fell on him like a death sentence.
Earth did not move.
BOOM.
The explosive talismans detonated in the air.
Fire and force rushed toward him.
CRACK.
The ground rose up.
A wall of solid stone burst around him and blocked the blast.
Dust and debris rained down.
