If the fruit's acid was strong enough to melt Krell bone and give him the worst stomachache of his life, then it could be refined into something useful.
A poison, maybe.
Or better, a gas.
He made a mental note to extract the juice and run proper tests.
He would check how it reacted to open air, what happened if he burned it for vapor, and how it interacted with other poisonous plants they had found.
This time, there would be no eating tests.
He would use one of his disposable appendages instead, collect the data, then cut the limb off once the test was done.
Pain-free and mistake-proof, at least in theory.
As for the monsters they faced, there were many types, but nothing that One or the Krell soldiers could not handle.
