The result shocked them.
The white gemstone now held even more mana than before.
That was not the strangest part.
When left alone, it slowly absorbed mana from the surrounding air and refilled itself.
A self‑recharging mana source.
"This… this is amazing," Elvira muttered, crouching beside it.
"If we can recreate this reliably," Ben said, eyes wide, "we won't need the slime farm anymore."
The slime farm had been a problem from the start.
They had tried to harvest the mana lotus that grew inside the slimes, but the lotus was embedded inside the creatures, not simply attached.
Pulling it out was like trying to extract something that had been swallowed by superglue.
Ben had tried to use mana‑less tools to force it out, hoping the lack of magic would help.
Nothing worked.
The tools were not strong enough to pry the lotus free.
With no better option, they had decided to move the slime plants into their base.
That plan also turned into a disaster.
