Chantelle cautiously stepped back and exchanged a look with Daniel. It was clear he was thinking the same thing.
"I'm the one who invited you here. You can tell me what you want to say," the old man said. His eyes rested on Chantelle's face for a moment. Then he turned to Trenton and motioned for the bodyguards to take him away.
Trenton was unwilling and tried to explain himself, but the old man silenced him with a sharp glare.
It was as if Trenton would have his tongue ripped out if he said another word. No wonder the old man could force him into submission.
"You're really amusing, old man. You kidnapped my family. You forced me to come to you on my own. And now you're asking me what I want to do?" Chantelle rolled her eyes at him.
She noticed that the old man was eyeing the lucky charm in her hand. She had no intention of giving in so easily. He had not shown any politeness from the start. It was obvious he looked down on her.
