Chapter 785 - Chapter 1002: Lake City

Faced with Julian's proposal, Regigigas was genuinely tempted. For it, sleeping was sleeping—why not choose somewhere closer instead of trekking all the way back to Kampuchea?

Seeing Regigigas deep in thought, Julian suddenly slapped his forehead.

"Regigigas, forget Haitian City—let's go straight to my hometown, Lake City!"

The only reason he'd considered having Regigigas settle in Haitian City earlier was because it was the closest location.

But then it dawned on him: now that the Primal Secret Realm no longer needed Regigigas to pull it, he could simply have Reshiram carry Regigigas and fly directly to Lake City—no need for walking at all.

He simply hadn't thought of this step earlier.

Without waiting for Regigigas's agreement, Julian immediately had Reshiram grab Regigigas's shoulders, lift it into the sky, and fly toward Lake City.

Leaving the three Regis looking at each other, bewildered.

The three Regis: 'At least take us with you! Hey!'

---

> "Nooo, Champion Walker, leave Regigigas here in our Haitian City!"

> "Hmph, Champion Walker is the pride of our Lake City. Of course he would remember his hometown when there's something good!"

> "Does that mean Lake City will have a temple from now on?"

> "The three Regis are really pitiful, left behind just like that."

> "If Regigigas settles in Lake City, wouldn't that mean Lake City would have a First-class Legendary as a guardian?"

> "Given the current relationship between Regigigas and Champion Walker, it really might become Lake City's guardian deity."

---

The netizens of Drakoria were buzzing with discussion.

Meanwhile, Julian was already heading toward Lake City with Regigigas. Even while carrying Regigigas, Reshiram's speed hadn't reduced much.

As a First-class Legendary that couldn't fly—much like Groudon—this sky journey felt quite novel for Regigigas.

Groudon: 'It can't fly either—so why did you only ever bring up me?'

Before long, Julian arrived above Lake City.

He chose a spot relatively close to his home, surrounded by mountains and water—truly an auspicious location.

Regigigas: 'I'm going to sleep, not to be buried forever.'

"Regigigas, how about this place?" Julian asked.

Actually, Regigigas didn't have many requirements for its sleeping place—anywhere that wasn't an extreme environment like the ocean or lava was fine.

"But since you're already here in my hometown, why not come to my house as a guest today?"

Without waiting for Regigigas to respond, Reshiram grabbed it and soared into the sky once again.

"Slowking, Love—we'll have an important guest over in a few minutes."

Julian specifically sent a message to Slowking and Love.

But just after sending it, he realized they were already above his backyard—Reshiram's speed really was something else.

Slowking and Love, who had been inside the house, had just received Julian's message and were wondering who the important guest might be and what dishes to prepare for dinner when they suddenly heard sounds from the backyard.

They immediately headed to the backyard, just in time to see Reshiram descending slowly with Julian and Regigigas in tow.

Of course, Slowking and Love knew exactly who Regigigas was—they had been watching the live stream all along.

Julian had spent seven months with this guy, not even returning home once. Eating, drinking, and sleeping had all been handled on Reshiram's back.

Of course, when it came to personal hygiene, Julian definitely didn't let the satellites catch a glimpse.

Otherwise, relieving himself in front of the entire world would have been social suicide.

Even after seeing Julian bring the First-class Legendary home, Slowking's first thought was that Julian hadn't bathed in seven months.

Love's first thought, on the other hand, was that its cub had been eating food from Gengar's stomach for seven months—and all of it was junk food.

Bathing?

Julian insisted that he had bathed. He had gone swimming in the ocean more than once, and half the world could testify to that.

As for food, it was true that he had been relying on Gengar's stored supplies. With all those satellites overhead, he couldn't exactly take food directly from his system space.

He never realized how much food Gengar had stored away until he started eating it. Most of it was junk food that Celebi and Jirachi had put there, and a small portion was leftovers Julian had stored long ago and forgotten about.

"Let me introduce you—this is Slowking, my most outstanding partner. And this is Love, who has taken care of me since I was young and is the family member I care about most."

Facing Slowking and Love's less-than-friendly stares, Julian's expression remained unchanged as he smiled warmly and introduced them to Regigigas.

Slowking: 'Most outstanding partner.'

Love: 'Family member I care about most.'

Sensing the happy aura radiating from Slowking and Love, Julian secretly let out a heavy sigh of relief, while also giving himself a big pat on the back for his quick thinking.

Regigigas greeted Slowking and Love.

As a First-class Legendary, it was highly sensitive to emotions. Whether it was Celebi, Metagross, Reshiram, or Jirachi and Nebby in Julian's arms—and now the two Pokémon before it—they all genuinely cared for this human.

And of course, this human cared deeply for them in return.

This kind of mutual, heartfelt affection kept raising Regigigas's favor toward Julian.

Otherwise, with Julian tricking it constantly on the road, it would have already beaten him up—though, of course, the exclusive Pokéblocks played a big part too.

"Slow~"

Slowking: "Go take a bath first."

Even though it wasn't angry with Julian anymore, Slowking hadn't forgotten what needed to be done.

It could already smell the ocean brine on Julian.

After all, after flying over the sea for seven months, it would have been strange if he didn't smell like the ocean.

"Alright. Regigigas, then please wait here for me a bit."

With that, Julian took Celebi, Jirachi, and Nebby with him to bathe. The three little ones had been blowing in the sea breeze with him for seven months, after all.

Slowking followed them in, holding a brush, intending to give Julian a thorough scrubbing. Otherwise, it just couldn't get past this mental hurdle.

And so, Regigigas was left alone in the backyard.

However, John and James were already on their way from the Imperial capital.

Jake, who had been fishing outside, was hurrying home with his bucket.

And Tina, who had been teaching at university, simply ditched her class.

With Regigigas at home, how could they not come see for themselves? If they arrived too late, Regigigas might already have fallen into slumber—and even if they could see it afterward, it just wouldn't be the same.

"Dee~"

Love: "Thank you, Lord Regigigas, for looking after this child these past few months."

Regigigas: "You're welcome."

Love: 'You actually responded…'
