Chapter 410 - The Shadow Judgment

Arthur and Lilith tore across the landscape like two falling stars colliding again and again.

The forest gave way to cliffs overlooking the dark Atlantic waters, and the sea itself had begun to rage as the shockwaves of their clash rippled through the ground.

The sky was filled with black clouds.

Lightning flashed.

The ocean roared against the coastline.

And in the center of it all the two of them clashed with power that looked almost mythological.

Lilith descended from the sky like a meteor of darkness, wings spread wide as her claws carved through the air. A tidal wave of black magic exploded from her hands, warping the very air as it surged toward Arthur.

Arthur didn't retreat, the violet lines across his armor blazed brighter as he stepped forward, his spear flashed once.

The lightning blade tore through the wave of darkness like a bolt from the heavens.

BOOM.

The impact cracked the ground beneath them.

The shockwave blasted outward, flattening what remained of the surrounding trees and sending chunks of rock tumbling into the raging sea below.

Lilith laughed.

A wild, cruel sound.

"DIE!"

Her wings snapped downward, launching her forward again with terrifying speed.

Arthur vanished.

She struck empty air.

A second later the armored shadow reappeared beside her, his spear slashing upward with a streak of violet lightning.

Lilith twisted in mid-air, barely blocking the strike with a wall of dark magic.

The collision detonated like thunder.

They were thrown apart.

Arthur landed first.

His boots slammed into the cliffside with enough force to crater the rock beneath him.

Lilith struck the ground seconds later, carving a trench through the earth before launching herself skyward again.

Her crimson eyes burned brighter now.

"You will submit!"

She raised both hands.

The sky responded.

Darkness gathered above them. Massive tendrils of black magic lashed downward, each strike detonating the earth like artillery.

Arthur moved through them.

Effortlessly.

His movements were calm.

Each dodge carried him forward through the storm of destruction as if the chaos around him barely existed.

One tendril struck the ground beside him.

BOOM.

The explosion hurled rocks the size of cars into the ocean.

Arthur stepped through the debris.

Another tendril descended.

Arthur caught it.

His gauntlet closed around the writhing mass of dark magic.

Then he tore it apart.

Lilith's eyes widened slightly.

Arthur raised his hand.

The floating spear shot forward like a bolt fired from a god.

Lilith twisted aside.

The spear missed her

But struck the ocean behind her.

The sea exploded.

A towering column of water erupted skyward as lightning detonated beneath the surface, sending waves crashing violently against the shoreline.

Lilith screamed in fury.

She slammed both hands together.

Darkness surged outward.

The ground beneath Arthur's feet suddenly liquefied into a massive swirling pool of black energy.

Chains made of fire erupted from the void.

Dozens of them.

Hundreds.

They wrapped around Arthur instantly.

His arms.

His torso.

His legs.

The chains tightened with crushing force.

Lilith hovered above him, breathing heavily.

"Yes…"

Her smile widened.

"Struggle."

The chains glowed with ancient binding magic.

"Fight it."

Arthur didn't move for a moment

The battlefield went still.

Lightning flashed across the sky.

Lilith tilted her head slightly.

Then, the chains shattered.

Arthur tore through them like they were made of glass.

The explosion of force blasted the surrounding earth apart, sending debris flying in every direction.

Lilith stared.

Her voice came out softer.

Almost incredulous.

"…What are you even made of?!"

Arthur moved.

The ground beneath him exploded as he crossed the distance in an instant.

His fist drove forward.

BOOM.

The punch landed squarely against Lilith's stomach.

The impact was catastrophic.

The air itself seemed to rupture.

Lilith's body bent around the blow before she was launched backward like a cannonball.

She tore through the air and slammed into the ocean below.

The sea erupted.

A massive crater formed in the water as the force of the impact drove her straight through the surface and down toward the seafloor.

Arthur hovered above the coastline, watching the raging ocean churn violently where she had disappeared.

Then he spoke.

Quietly.

"Flesh and blood."

The ocean exploded again.

Lilith burst upward from the water in a furious eruption of darkness, her wings beating violently as seawater cascaded from her body.

Her expression had changed.

Gone was the playful arrogance.

Now there was only fury.

"YOU WILL DIE!"

She surged toward him again, unleashing every spell she possessed.

Spears of darkness.

Waves of infernal flame that she hurled at him with relentless rage.

Arthur met every attack head-on.

Lightning and shadow clashed with her own attacks.

Their impacts shattered the air like thunderclaps.

Crater after crater scarred the land with every exchange.

Lilith screamed again as she unleashed another devastating spell.

"SUBMIT!"

Arthur moved through it.

His armor burned brighter with violet light as he advanced step by step.

Relentless. And so was she.

Lilith's breathing had grown heavier now.

Her attacks were still powerful.

But Arthur was wearing her down.

Slowly.

What had once been jagged cliffs and forest now looked like the aftermath of a war between titans, the sea itself had not escaped the destruction.

Massive waves rolled violently toward the ruined shore, the ocean still raging from the shockwaves of the battle above it.

Lilith stared at Arthur.

Her chest rose and fell with heavy breaths.

Despite the power still surrounding her, fatigue had begun to creep into her movements.

"You…"

Her voice came out sharp, furious.

"Are you going easy on me?"

Her wings flared wide as she hovered above the shattered shoreline, crimson eyes blazing.

"Me!"

Her voice rose into a furious snarl.

"Is that why you stand there so calm, Shadow Lord?!"

Arthur moved.

In the next instant he was already in front of her.

His leg drove forward.

The kick landed against her ribs with catastrophic force.

The impact detonated the air between them.

Lilith's body launched backward like a missile.

She tore through the sky and slammed into the shore below, carving a trench through the sand before finally skidding to a violent stop near the water's edge.

Arthur landed moments later, his armored boots touching down softly despite the devastation surrounding him.

"I'm taking you very seriously."

His voice remained calm.

Lilith coughed.

Blood splattered onto the sand beneath her.

She tried to rise immediately.

Her hands pressed into the sand as she forced herself upward

Then something changed.

The dark aura around her flickered.

Her massive wings twitched once.

Then faded.

The demonic presence she had wrapped around herself began to unravel like smoke in the wind.

The horns receded.

The monstrous armor of darkness cracked and dissolved.

Her transformation slowly collapsed until she was left in her original form a pale demon woman kneeling in the sand, breathing heavily as exhaustion clawed through her body.

Her fingers dug into the beach as she tried to push herself upright.

But the strength wasn't there anymore.

She stumbled.

Fell back onto one knee.

"…No…"

Her voice trembled slightly.

"My power…"

Arthur began walking toward her.

His spear rested lightly in his hand, violet lightning still dancing along the blade.

"I told you."

Lilith's breathing grew ragged as she glared up at him.

"You refused to listen."

Arthur stopped a few steps away.

"You have no power here, not to mention the amount of energy you used to open that rift."

The wind tugged lightly at his dark cloak.

"You are bound to Hell."

Lilith's nails scraped against the sand as she forced herself upright again, though her legs trembled beneath her.

Arthur continued.

"Borrowing strength from something buried beneath this city…"

His eyes flicked briefly toward the distant destroyed forest.

"…will only take you so far."

He stepped closer.

"But not against me."

Lilith's crimson eyes widened slightly.

Arthur's voice remained quiet.

"I'm not bound to anything."

The violet glow in his gaze sharpened.

"When you face me…"

His grip tightened slightly around the spear.

"You face me at my strongest, always."

For a brief moment, fear flashed across Lilith's face, something she didn't feel in ages.

Then it twisted into something desperate.

Her hand slammed against the sand.

Ancient demonic symbols flared briefly beneath her palm.

She whispered something in a harsh infernal tongue.

A spell.

Arthur's eyes narrowed.

Before the magic could activate

Lilith's arm suddenly lifted off the ground.

Not by her own will.

Her fingers clawed helplessly at the air.

Invisible force held her there.

Arthur had raised his hand.

Telekinesis, his Ruler's Authority gripped her like an iron vice.

Her arm twisted upward against her will.

Her spell collapsed instantly.

Lilith snarled in frustration as she struggled against the unseen pressure.

"You won't be escaping me anymore." Arthur's voice was calm.

He raised the spear.

Lightning roared along the blade, illuminating the dark coastline in flashes of violet light.

Lilith glared up at him from the sand, breathing hard, fury still burning in her crimson eyes.
