3rd POV
Exiting his room after a long night's sleep, Bumi stretched his arms back and loudly yawned. "Ugh, great sleep!" Slicking his crazed and messy hair back, Bumi entered his kitchen, grabbing whatever food he could find before sitting at the table while silently staring at the ceiling. "This bread is so disgusting I could die."
With a disgusted expression, Bumi shoveled the rest of the stale, hard bread into his mouth, forcing it down with a glass of water before standing up and heading outside. Once outside, Bumi looked at the slightly cloudy sky, glancing at the sun just above the horizon. "What a great day for sweating."
Smirking, Bumi stepped out into the empty road, performing a morning workout routine, which consisted of him doing exercises in a random order. Having worked up a light sweat, Bumi stomped on the ground, launching a boulder into the air before spreading his arms, breaking the boulder into numerous smaller rocks.
For the next hour, Bumi manipulated the numerous rocks, expertly controlling them; when he finished, he dropped all the stones save for one and floated it far away. As the stone continued to increase in distance, its perfect path began to destabilize and wobble; shortly thereafter, it slowly sank until finally dropping onto the ground.
Another hour passed as he practiced the range of his bending until he exhausted his supply of stones. Lastly, Bumi jumped before stomping on the ground, followed by him moving his arms upwards with a struggle, causing a hill to emerge from the ground.
Bumi spent an hour testing his raw power, bending to his utmost limit and summoning the largest piece of his earth he possibly could. When he finished, he returned the street to normal before plopping down on his butt, the sun nearing high noon. While resting, Appa, who had been sleeping nearby, walked his hefty frame towards Bumi, causing him to smile as he leaped onto his feet.
"Heh, you're too quiet, I nearly forgot about you!" Smirking Bumi stepped forward, gently rubbing Appa's head before moving and scratching behind his horns, causing him to gently roar. "Haha." However, Bumi was suddenly chomped on by Appa; while practically fighting for his life inside Appa's mouth, he managed to free himself, leaving the top half of his body slick with saliva.
"Heh, you must be hungry…. I can also skip a bath." Standing back up, Bumi shook his body, spraying saliva everywhere before sniffing himself with a satisfied expression, causing Appa to take a step back. Dashing into his house, Bumi looked throughout his kitchen before returning with a pound of raw meat, causing Appa to shake his head in disgust.
"Eh, do you need it cooked? Raw meat tastes pretty good on its own, though." Rubbing his chin in confusion, Bumi glanced between Appa and the slab of raw meat in his hands before shrugging his shoulders. "Hmm, I'll ask Aang, he probably knows what you like to eat." Returning to his house, he tossed the slab of meat on the table while approaching Aang's room.
"Oi, Aang, it's nearly noon, where have you been? Are you still sleeping?" After banging on his door, Bumi pressed his ear against it, searching for any sounds. "Oh, you must still be sleeping. Heh, let me come wake you up!" Smirking, Bumi grabbed the door, opening it, though when he did, a solid wall of earth stood in front of him, blocking his path.
"Eh, the hell is this?" Furrowing his brows, Bumi tapped the earth before reeling his arm back. "Alright, sleepy head, rise and shine!" Crazily grinning, Bumi punched the earth wall, intending to blow a hole right through it with his bending, yet, not only did he fail to achieve that, but the earth wall didn't even shake. "Ouch! Damn, that hurt!"
While hissing in pain, Bumi shook his hand. "Tch, alright, I know you're awake, Aang, otherwise I would've busted this wall down. When did your earthbending become so strong?" Bumi got no response, causing him to groan as he clenched his fists. "Hehe, playing hard to get? I like that!"
While grinning, Bumi spent the next few hours trying to enter Aang's room; he used every method he could think of, and when his bending failed, he attempted to enter through the windows, ceiling, walls, and even the floor. However, just like with the door, his attempts always failed as he'd be met with a wall of earth that was impossible for him to bend.
"Haa. Haa. I-I'm too tired for this." Bumi, having given up for today, was lying on the ground just outside Aang's window, staring at the evening sky, only for Appa to approach him, causing his eyes to light up. "Appa! Aang is in there with your food, but I can't get to him. Can you help?" Grinning, Bumi pointed at the window while looking at Appa, who softly growled before standing on his two hind legs.
Seeing Appa's stance, Bumi, smartly, scurried out of the way, just in time for Appa to stomp onto the house, breaking through the exterior stone ceiling and wall, revealing the stone underneath, which was heavily cracked. "Hahah, nice one, Appa! Just one more time!"
With a roar, Appa raised to his hind legs once more, intending to break through Aang's earth barrier; however, before he could make the next move, the entire ground began to aggressively shake, causing Appa to lose balance and fall.
Though the shaking wasn't directed at Appa or Bumi, since emerging from the ground were several pieces of stone that circled Aang's barrier, destroying the rest of the exterior stone, leaving just an earth cube where a room used to reside. "What the? What's he doing now?"
As Bumi and Appa watched, the circling stones began to converge above the stone cube, followed by a wave of flames erupting from the ceiling through a small hole. While Bumi's eyes shone, clearly knowing there must've been a hole above, the fire prevented him from getting closer.
The flames began to superheat the stone, causing it to change colors before eventually turning it into slag; controlling the viscous, liquefied stone, Aang shaped it around the cube before spewing water from the ceiling, quenching the slag. After he finished, all that remained was a faintly glowing, dark-silverish cube.
"Iron?" Muttering softly, Bumi stared at the hot iron cube, prompting him to fling a sharp stone at it, creating only a scratch mark on the iron. "When did he learn how to do that? I didn't know you could even do that."
Rubbing his head, shocked at what he was witnessing, Bumi eventually snapped out of it and looked away. "Let's try again tomorrow, Appa, the iron is still too hot… So what do you like to eat? Not raw meat, what about cooked meat? Is that better?" Shaking his head, Bumi began walking down the street while looking at Appa, who followed while softly roaring in response to his question.

Next Day
"Alright, Appa, you've got this!" Cheering Appa from the side, Appa roared and raised to his hind legs before slamming down with all his might atop the ceiling of the iron cube; however, other than a loud thud, the cube held firm.
"Try again!" Spurred by Bumi's cheering and the desire to see Aang, Appa tried once more, though this time, he flapped his tail, launching him a few feet into the air before he fell down with his entire weight, yet still, the cube held firm. The iron cub, supported by the interior stone cube, was too durable; not even Appa, a mighty beast, was able to break through it.
"Alright, what if we both try?"
Following Bumi's suggestion, the two worked together, spending nearly the entire day trying to break through the iron cube. Bumi would create crystal shoes for Appa to wear, which didn't work as he simply wasn't strong enough. Next, Bumi created a large crystal cone and placed it above the iron cub while Appa would jump on the flat part, mimicking a hammer and nail; however, this time, the crystal wasn't durable enough, and the tip constantly kept shattering.
At the end of the day, Bumi and Appa were lying together just outside the iron cube, which had several scratches and scuff marks, yet not a single dent.
Coming to terms with their failure, Bumi and Appa left, heading somewhere to eat.

Third Day
"Hey, Aang, are you okay? Why are you doing this?" Since brute force wasn't working, Bumi sat outside the iron cube, trying to speak with Aang, whom he was genuinely concerned about as a friend; however, he never got a response.
"Roaar Rooooar? Roarr." Appa's turn was next, trying to speak to Aang while rubbing his head against the cube, yet, despite their bond, he still failed to respond.

Eighth Day
"Aang, are you eating? Water should be fine for you, but you haven't gotten any food, right?" Placing stale bread and a chunk of cheese outside the cube, Bumi knocked on it before walking away, while Appa silently stared at it.
