Chapter 9 - CHAPTER 9: THE CONFRONTATION

Asher walked through the school gates, feeling a sense of unease. He had been gone for two days, and he knew that people would be talking. He had no idea what they would be saying, but he was sure it wouldn't be good.

As he walked through the hallways, Asher noticed that people were staring at him. They whispered to each other, their eyes filled with suspicion and fear. Asher knew that he had to be careful. He didn't know what was going on, but he knew that he couldn't trust anyone.

He walked into his classroom, and the room fell silent. Everyone stared at him, their eyes filled with a mixture of fear and curiosity. Asher ignored them, taking his seat at the back of the room.

But he couldn't ignore Stephen, who walked up to him with a smug look on his face. "Well, well, well," Stephen said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Look who's back. We were all worried sick about you, Asher. Where did you go?"

Asher knew that Stephen was trying to provoke him, but he refused to take the bait. He ignored Stephen, looking away from him.

But Stephen wouldn't let up. "Come on, Asher," he said, his voice growing louder. "Tell us what happened. Did you run away with your tail between your legs?"

Asher felt a surge of anger, but he kept it under control. He knew that Stephen was trying to get a rise out of him, and he wasn't going to fall for it.

But then, Stephen said something that made Asher's blood boil. "Or maybe you were too scared to face the consequences of what you did," Stephen sneered. "Maybe you were too scared to face the camera."

Asher's eyes narrowed, and he felt a surge of anger. He knew that Stephen was trying to provoke him, but he also knew that he couldn't let him get away with it.

But before Asher could do anything, Stephen faked an attack, falling to the ground and clutching his face. "He attacked me!" Stephen shouted, his voice echoing through the classroom. "Asher attacked me because I mentioned the camera!"

The classroom erupted into chaos, with everyone staring at Asher in shock and horror. The teacher rushed over to Stephen, helping him to his feet.

"Asher, what do you have to say for yourself?" the teacher asked, her voice stern.

But Asher just shook his head. He knew that he hadn't done anything, and he wasn't going to apologize for something he didn't do.

The rest of the day was a blur, with everyone staring at Asher and whispering behind his back. He knew that he had to be careful, that he had to watch his back.

The next day, the student council called for Asher, but he ignored their summons. He knew that they were just trying to get him in trouble, and he wasn't going to fall for it.

But then, they sent an S-ranker to bring him in. Asher recognized the student, a tall, muscular boy with a cold, calculating gaze.

"Asher, you're coming with me," the boy said, his voice firm.

But Asher just shook his head. "I'm not going anywhere," he said, his voice calm.

The boy's eyes narrowed, and he took a step closer to Asher. "You don't have a choice," he said, his voice dripping with menace.

But Asher just smiled. He knew that he had the power of the demon on his side, and he wasn't afraid of anything.

The boy attacked, his blade flashing in the light. But Asher was ready, dodging the attack with ease.

The boy's attribute was blade explosion, and Asher knew that he had to be careful. If the boy cut anything, it would explode, causing massive damage.

The showdown had begun, and Asher was ready. He was determined to prove himself, to show everyone that he wasn't a monster.

The boy's blade flashed in the light, its edge razor-sharp as it sliced through the air. Asher dodged to the side, using his assassination attribute to anticipate the boy's movements. He could see the faintest hint of a shadowy aura surrounding the boy's blade, a sign of his attribute's power.

As the boy struck again, Asher teleported behind him, using his teleportation attribute to move swiftly and silently. He appeared behind the boy, his own blade flashing in the light as he struck.

But the boy was too fast, and he spun around to block Asher's attack. The two blades clashed, sparks flying as they exchanged blow after blow.

Asher's assassination attribute allowed him to see the boy's movements before they happened, giving him a slight edge in the fight. He could anticipate the boy's attacks, dodging and weaving around them with ease.

But the boy's blade explosion attribute made him a formidable opponent. Every time their blades clashed, the air seemed to vibrate with energy, as if the very fabric of reality was being torn apart.

Asher teleported again, appearing above the boy as he struck downwards. But the boy was ready, and he raised his blade to block Asher's attack.

The two blades clashed, and the air seemed to erupt in a blast of energy. The boy's blade exploded, sending shards of metal flying everywhere.

Asher teleported again, avoiding the explosion by mere inches. He reappeared behind the boy, his blade flashing in the light as he struck.

But as the fight continued, Asher realized that the boy was stronger than he had anticipated. His blade flashed faster and faster, each strike landing with precision and power.

Asher dodged and weaved, using all his skills and training to avoid the boy's attacks. But he knew that he couldn't keep this up for much longer.

He needed a plan, and he needed it fast. Otherwise, he would be the one who ended up getting hurt.
