There was a lot Noah could do.
For example, solving Kassandra's problem.
To be honest, her situation was interesting.
Her physical condition was absurdly strong. Her current combat power was directly tied to that body. But it was also because of that body that her problem existed in the first place.
Kassandra's bloodline came from the Isu.
A naturally occurring bloodline with special abilities.
It granted incredible advantages when learning anything. But it also came with a flaw. This bloodline required a specific cultivation system to fully awaken its potential.
Kassandra didn't have that.
She'd relied purely on talent and experience to reach her current level. And even then, she still had to depend on the Staff of Hermes to stay alive.
In a sense, it was tragic.
Because she always stood on the side of ordinary humans instead of the Isu, neither Poseidon nor Aletheia ever told her the truth. As for Juno-
That lunatic was already far beyond sanity. Expecting her to explain anything would've been a miracle.
Coincidentally, Noah had obtained all of this from Juno's memories.
That was why he claimed he could solve Kassandra's problem.
The issue of lifespan could be split into two parts.
One was the life force Noah had absorbed from the giant beast he killed in the Star Wars universe. He already had experience with that magic. Yoda and Anakin were living proof. He'd only used it twice, but that was enough. Any follow-up problems could be handled later.
The second part lay in Juno's memories.
They contained cultivation methods used by the Isu.
While those methods differed greatly from what Noah had observed when fighting Juno, they were perfectly suited for Kassandra.
Of course, there was a condition.
Kassandra had to agree to Noah's terms.
Honestly, someone who'd lived for more than two thousand years was bound to be lonely.
It wasn't that Kassandra refused to make friends. It was that every friendship ended in separation. Over and over again.
That kind of cruelty wore a person down.
Humans were social creatures. Very few could endure endless solitude.
Ordinary people couldn't live as long as Kassandra. But sorcerers could-especially after the birth of life-absorption magic.
If Kassandra accepted Noah's terms, she wouldn't just solve her physical problems. She could also regain the emotional bonds she'd been forced to cut off.
As for what Noah wanted from her?
Only two things.
First, information related to the Underworld.
Second, that she help rebuild and reorganize the High Table.
Noah had no intention of abandoning it. Everyone involved understood that.
As for who would run it, Noah had two candidates for now.
One was Wick.
The other was this ancestor of assassins.
And Desmond wasn't off the table either. If needed, Noah could just have Wick and Desmond run it together. If ability and courage weren't enough, they'd make up for it with numbers.
Noah was flexible like that.
"These are your conditions?" Kassandra asked after listening quietly. Her expression was calm, but her eyes were slightly unfocused.
"And this is what you can do?"
"Yes," Noah nodded. "In short, I'll let you live normally again. Experience emotions you lost. And I'll fix your body so this problem never comes back."
"And you sorcerers would accept me?" Kassandra asked, half-amused. "I don't interact much with ordinary people, but that doesn't mean I don't need to live. Don't think I don't know what sorcerers are. I'm different from you."
"You are," Noah shrugged. "Strictly speaking, you're an assassin or a warrior. But you're not an ordinary human either. If we're being precise, you belong to the world's side."
That wasn't wrong.
Otherwise, mutants wouldn't be part of the magical world. Not all of them were like Erik or Charles. People like Logan existed too.
So Noah's stance wasn't unusual.
As for why no sorcerer had approached her before?
The reasons were simple.
First, no one knew her attitude. Sorcerers weren't blind. They'd noticed her actions in the ordinary world, and those actions didn't align with sorcerer principles.
Second, she was too strong.
Sorcerers weren't idiots. Even if they were reckless when young, they learned quickly. They might be crazy-but they weren't suicidal.
"Can you really make that decision?" Kassandra frowned, still unconvinced.
"Let me put it this way," Noah said with a faint smile. "The strongest sorcerer in this world is my teacher. And there are several people with strength comparable to yours."
He paused.
"In short, dealing with you wouldn't be difficult if it came to that. As for me? I'm essentially my teacher's successor. That's already settled."
"So," Kassandra said slowly, "you're a very powerful sorcerer."
"You can understand it that way. And yes-I can decide everything regarding your case."
Noah had that confidence.
He'd discussed this with the Ancient One. Her attitude was simple: You're the future Sorcerer Supreme. You can decide.
That was why Noah dared to negotiate directly.
Kassandra fell silent.
Her life was more than a legend. But legends still had desires.
She missed her family.
Her friends.
She even found herself remembering old enemies.
A person without memories or a past wasn't human anymore.
She'd chosen isolation to keep her heart from being torn apart again and again. And now, this sorcerer was offering her hope.
A chance to live normally again.
How could she not be tempted?
The task the Isu had placed on her had weighed on her for a thousand years. She was tired. Completely exhausted.
If nothing changed, once she completed that mission, she planned to leave this world and enter the Underworld to reunite with her loved ones.
If they were still there.
After all, two thousand years had passed.
After a long silence, Kassandra looked at Noah seriously.
"Did the Isu really deceive me?"
"I have Juno's memories," Noah said calmly. "Poseidon and Aletheia never told you the real cultivation method. And the Isu left long ago. Before leaving, they even met the Asgardians."
He paused.
"Honestly, letting you shoulder the responsibility of protecting Earth and humanity-"
"Don't say it," Kassandra cut in sharply. "Why do you want information about the Underworld?"
"Because I have a way to resurrect someone."
Noah dimmed the glow of the Time Stone in his hand.
"But there's a prerequisite. I need to find the soul. The body can be handled with technology. If they've been dead too long, then there's no way. But resurrection itself isn't the problem-assuming you don't care about bloodlines."
Resurrection.
Kassandra hadn't expected that.
This sorcerer was bold. Bold enough to touch a forbidden domain.
She was tempted.
Truly tempted.
She had no living family or friends left in this world. If the Underworld could locate souls-
Did that mean her family could return?
Her friends?
Kassandra narrowed her eyes.
After a long silence, she smiled faintly.
"To what extent can technology restore a body?" she asked. "I'm not ignorant of these things."
"...Uh."
Noah paused.
He regretted not bringing Tony.
After thinking for a while, he answered uncertainly, "At least fifty percent? This needs a professional answer. I'm a sorcerer. This is a blind spot for me."
Then he directly called Tony.
Tony's newly developed phone proved its worth. This place was underwater and surrounded by natural interference, but the magic-Star Wars hybrid tech ignored all of it.
The signal wasn't perfect.
But it connected.
"Damn it, Noah," Tony snapped. "Do you know I was sleeping?"
"Shut up," Noah said flatly. "I need something. How's your cloning tech? The Star Wars data should cover this, right?"
"Cloning?" Tony muttered, already moving. "Hold on."
After flipping through data, he replied, "No problem. The cloning project is complete. As many bodies as you want."
"Then answer me this," Noah said. "Using me as an example-how much of the original can be replicated?"
"With you?" Tony paused. "Your powers? No. Impossible. But a normal body? No problem. Bloodline included."
He added, "Souls are still a no."
"That's enough," Noah said. "Thanks."
He hung up.
