Chapter 478 - Chapter 478: Something Is Definitely Wrong with the Thor Family

With the Power Stone and his current level, Thor reaching Ninth Tier was already a very satisfying result.

Even if he was still an entire tier below Thanos in this world, that wasn't a problem.

Thor was a cheat.

Noah was a cheat too.

Two cheats together didn't need to joke around with anyone.

There were still roughly three years before Thanos would officially descend on Earth, according to the original timeline. Noah wasn't sure whether he could reach that stage by then-at least Tenth Tier-but one thing was certain.

Even if he couldn't, the Ancient One could.

And so could those standing with her.

Having a trump card was something Noah had always believed in.

With the Ancient One as insurance, Noah didn't need to worry too much. As for Odin-the old monster who had long since completed his transformation-Noah wasn't sure whether he would remain.

If Odin stayed, great.

If he left, it didn't matter.

The Ancient One alone was enough to hold the line.

Of course, Noah didn't relax just because these two existed. Relying on others was never as good as relying on yourself. That was why he kept pushing forward without stopping.

After leaving Peter behind on Xandar, Thor piloted the ship and brought Noah and Wong back to Asgard.

Once they arrived, meeting Odin was unavoidable.

They had to explain the Power Stone.

And while they were at it, the Reality Stone too.

Honestly, Noah had no idea how this would end. From what he knew of Odin, the All-Father had always been wary of Infinity Stones.

Noah didn't know why.

But regardless, this conversation had to happen.

Odin's palace was as magnificent as ever-far more imposing than anything shown in the movies. The old man sat alone, reading quietly, dressed in a simple white robe.

Leisurely.

If Noah didn't know who he was, he would've believed this was just Asgard's gatekeeper.

Odin noticed Noah's arrival, but his attention quickly shifted to Thor.

"Injured?" Odin asked, studying him. "Did you run into an expert?"

He glanced between Thor and Noah.

"Did you two fight? You kids never know when to hold back. Good thing Thor's tough. Next time, remember to call me."

Noah and Wong twitched at the same time.

Was this really his biological father?

Why did it feel like Thor had been picked up after Odin lost a card game and had no choice but to raise him?

Next time, remember to call me.

Call him for what? To watch Noah beat Thor up?

Could it be that all those theories about clothing, hair color, and helmets were actually true?

Noah complained internally but didn't dare say it out loud. Thor looked perfectly normal, which meant this was probably their standard way of communicating.

"It wasn't me, Your Majesty," Noah said respectfully, bowing. "It was the Power Stone."

"The Power Stone?"

Odin's hand paused.

He looked sharply at Thor. "Did you fight someone who possessed the Power Stone?"

"No, Father," Thor said helplessly. "I fought the Power Stone."

As he spoke, Thor pulled out the purple gem.

The stone radiated a deep violet glow.

Odin fell silent.

Another Infinity Stone.

After a long pause, he sighed. "Explain. From the beginning."

Thor put the gem away and began recounting everything.

Skipping his inspection duties.

Going to Earth.

Finding Noah.

Noah sensing an Infinity Stone.

Hiring a Ravager.

Obtaining the stone.

And finally, Noah's plan.

"You're saying you intend to control the Infinity Stones yourselves," Odin said, looking at Noah, "and use them against those who covet them?"

There was disbelief in his voice-but only briefly.

"Yes," Noah nodded. "I can see fragments of the future with the Time Stone. Thanos, right?"

"It seems you're quite skilled with it," Odin said calmly. "So you intend to-"

"Snap his fingers," Noah said, tilting his head.

"Exactly."

"Then we won't even let him think about snapping one."

Silence followed.

Odin leaned on one hand, eyes lowered, thinking.

Thor and Wong exchanged confused looks.

Thanos?

Snapping fingers?

They didn't understand, but neither of them was stupid. Whatever Thanos planned, it clearly wasn't good.

"Are you confident?" Odin finally asked. "Suitable wielders aren't easy to find."

"With Asgard's Reality Stone included, we already have five," Noah said.

He raised his hand.

Magic surged.

Five illusory Infinity Stones appeared in midair, vivid enough to seem real.

Odin looked up, then nodded for him to continue.

"Two are mine," Noah said flatly. "No negotiation."

The blue and green stones vanished.

"These two count as one. One is Kamar-Taj's inheritance. The other suits me perfectly."

"You're greedy," Odin chuckled. "Fine. We'll treat them as one. The rest?"

"The Power Stone belongs to Thor," Noah said without hesitation. "He earned its recognition. Otherwise, it wouldn't have beaten him half to death."

"Complete recognition?" Odin studied Thor again, then nodded. "That's true. He's done well. Continue."

"For the Reality Stone," Noah said, "Loki is suitable."

"The Reality Stone?" Odin laughed. "That's a stretch. The Mind Stone suits him better."

He paused.

"By the way-do you have the Mind Stone too?"

"It's on Earth," Noah said. "Probably only Thanos knows. Since it's there, let an Earth magician hold it. Why keep passing it around?"

"You little rascal," Odin said, shaking his head. "I won't interfere with your plan. But why Loki?"

Why?

Noah's mouth twitched.

Did he really have to explain it was to balance the number of Stones between Asgard and Earth?

Otherwise, why insist that Time and Space counted as one?

Asgard had many talents, but realistically, only Thor and Loki were qualified.

Not by strength.

By status.

In a kingdom this feudal, only royal blood could wield such things.

Odin knew this.

He just wanted Noah's opinion.

Noah thought for a moment, then smiled.

"He's not qualified yet," Noah said. "But he will be. Once he stabilizes his form and fully masters the Casket of Ancient Winters-"

He stopped.

His smile faded.

He realized Odin's real meaning.

My son is still under your watch.

This made Noah irritated.

Couldn't you help at least a little?

"Alright," Noah sighed. "I get it. I'll go back and push him harder."

"As soon as possible," Odin said with a chuckle. "Though you don't need to rush. I can already feel his changes."

"...Ugh."

Noah wanted to curse.

You can feel it, and you're still asking me?

"Then why ask at all?" Noah said helplessly.

"Because I want you to supervise him," Odin replied calmly. "He learns too fast. He's already begun pouring the Casket's power into himself."

Noah nodded.

That was Loki-getting carried away.

He hadn't fully mastered the magic, yet he was already forcing it. That was asking for trouble.

Noah resolved to have a serious talk with him.

Then he paused.

Wait.

Odin knew?

Noah looked at the old man's relaxed expression and felt his eye twitch.

Was this guy spying too?

Seriously.

The whole Thor family had issues, didn't they?
