Noah was genuinely curious where Thor had learned that the being who saved that world was actually a mouse.
Then he understood.
Surveillance was probably the most honest storyteller.
Noah smiled and didn't pursue it.
The Avengers, however, were completely stunned.
They had never imagined that something so absurd could exist in this world.
Bruce Banner hesitated for a moment, then looked at Fat Thor.
"Uh... Thor. Can I ask something? In your world-"
"Hehehe!" Scott cut in suddenly. "Mr. Thor, please don't say it."
"And you too, big guy. Dr. Banner."
"Whether you ask or not, I don't want to know."
"I don't want the future to change just because you said something."
"What are you talking about?" Banner looked at him, confused. "What change?"
"Haven't you seen Back to the Future?" Scott asked incredulously. "Or Terminator, The Time Machine, all of them."
"They all talk about how going back and messing with things changes the future."
"This Thor is from the future."
Scott didn't finish his sentence.
But everyone understood.
Curiosity about the future was natural.
But so was fear.
No one knew what kind of future awaited them.
If they accidentally changed it-
If it became better, fine.
If it became worse, that would be disastrous.
That wasn't what anyone wanted.
And it was exactly what they feared.
"A bunch of idiots," Tony said, rolling his eyes.
Then he glanced awkwardly at Rhodey, whose expression had darkened.
"Sorry. Not you."
"Although you're sometimes an idiot too, as long as you're on my side, you don't count."
"Tony..." Rhodey's mouth twitched.
After a long pause, he took a breath.
"So. What actually happened?"
"I'll tell you," Fat Thor said, spreading his hands.
Then he looked at Rhodey.
"Good to see you healthy."
"Even if your mouth is still annoying."
"Healthy... me?" Rhodey froze.
Then his expression darkened further.
"Don't tell me my future self ends up screwed?"
Thor nodded without hesitation.
The Rhodey of his universe had it rough.
Lower body paralysis.
Without Tony's help, he'd have spent the rest of his life in bed.
Optimism only went so far.
Pain like that broke people.
The best outcome was finding someone who could heal him someday.
A sorcerer, perhaps.
Like Strange.
The worst?
Lying there until death.
"Yes," Thor said bluntly. "Very bad."
He dropped into a seat with a thud, then looked at Tony.
"By the way, buddy. Got any Bloody Marys? Or something stronger?"
Tony's mouth twitched.
"Jarvis," he said stiffly, "get the fat guy one."
"Thank you, Tony," Thor laughed happily.
"But remember. I'm the strongest Avenger."
"Not some 'Mr. Hotspot.'"
"Alright."
"Back to the point."
He straightened slightly and looked at Scott.
"Little ant. Everything you said is nonsense."
"Because," Thor continued calmly, "we're not from the same universe."
"And more importantly-"
"If you go to the past, that past becomes your future."
"And your future has already become your past."
"Understand?"
His words were concise.
Blunt.
And clearly borrowed from Banner's explanations.
No one present was stupid.
They understood immediately.
Things didn't work the way Scott imagined.
"So all those Back to the Future movies are bullshit?" Scott asked, stunned.
"Of course," Thor shrugged. "We've already done it."
"Honestly, I envy you."
"Your universe is much safer."
"A lot of things haven't happened yet."
"Like what?" Rhodey asked. "Now I really want to know how I got hurt."
"That's simple," Thor said, smiling. "I wasn't directly involved, but I know."
"You had a civil war."
"One that nearly tore the Avengers apart."
Civil war.
Tore the Avengers apart.
Everyone subconsciously looked at Tony.
What they were facing now felt disturbingly similar.
Tony's actions were already pushing them toward division.
Toward collapse.
"Uh..." Thor scratched his head. "Are you dealing with that here too?"
"Signing something called the Sokovia Accords?"
"Sokovia Accords?" The Avengers froze again.
Finally, Natasha spoke.
"What's that?"
"Good to see you again, Nat," Thor smiled.
"You're different from ours."
"Let me tell you what happened."
Thor spread his hands and began recounting events from the Ultron incident onward.
Ultron.
The spark that ignited everything.
Thor had been there.
He knew the details.
He wasn't a great storyteller.
But no one looked away.
When Thor described how Ultron-created by Tony with good intentions-nearly destroyed the Earth by lifting Sokovia into the sky, everyone tensed.
When he said they finally stopped it, relief followed.
But it didn't end there.
After Sokovia, divisions appeared.
Those who supported Tony.
Those who supported Steve.
The Avengers nearly split.
They fought.
Steve's side fled or went underground.
Tony's side carried infamy.
Tony himself suffered the most.
Misunderstood.
Blamed.
And the fuse?
The Accords.
And a man named Zemo.
But the final blow-
Bucky killing Tony's parents.
"Damn it."
Every Avenger turned to Bucky.
Shock.
Disbelief.
They knew he'd been controlled.
But hearing it was different.
Suddenly, Tony's choices made sense.
Even Scott understood.
Tony's target had never been Hank Pym.
It was Bucky.
Steve was involved only because he refused to abandon his friend.
Then why Hank Pym?
No one understood.
But no one interrupted Thor.
They wanted to hear everything.
As Thor continued, the picture grew clearer.
A future filled with disaster.
With despair.
Now they understood the mouse.
They understood the Pym particles.
They understood Tony's urgency.
But it was all too much.
Too absurd.
Too heavy.
"My god," Scott muttered. "So half the universe dies in a snap."
"And I survive because I'm stuck in the Quantum Realm."
"And I get rescued by a mouse?"
"Pretty much," Thor nodded.
"Then what?" Steve asked grimly.
"What happened next?"
"You used the Pym Particles to go back and get the Stones?"
"Yes," Thor said.
"But there was an accident."
"A very good accident."
He grinned.
"Bruce Banner from our universe-don't ask me how-ended up in your universe."
"And by coincidence..."
"He found your sorcerer."
"What?" Banner stared.
"The me from your universe came here?"
"You said that sorcerer helped you."
"Don't tell me..."
All eyes turned to Noah.
No one could forget Thanos's snap.
No one could forget Thor saying that this sorcerer had killed Thanos.
Then another realization hit.
In Thor's universe, the strongest sorcerer wasn't Noah.
It was Stephen Strange.
The same Strange who had visited Tony and vanished.
The implications were terrifying.
A sorcerer from another timeline.
Another universe.
Defeating Thanos.
Natasha suddenly looked at Tony.
"Tony."
"Are you trying to go back in time?"
"Finally," Tony said, cracking a smile, "someone smart."
"If another version of me can do it, why can't I?"
"And Scott and Pym-"
"One's a fool."
"One's slow."
"I'd have to wait years for them."
